After another smash, the mana barrier that Regulus had casted broke down.
"Remember, fight as if you were fighting a ten foot knight. Like a knight's armor, a Golem weakness are its joints. Though it doesn't have joints, its elbows, knees, shoulders and neck are its weak points. But even then, it would be hard to hit it. It may look big, but it's fast and strong." Regulus said as he imbued his spear and body with mana. After he had finished he put his hand on Alicia's shoulder and imbued her body with mana as well.
"What is this…..?" She said as she had an unfamiliar feeling around her money.
"So that you won't break any bones if you get hit once." He said as he charged a lightning bolt on his hand.
"Now, shall we?" He said smirking with murderous intent.
"Yes we shall." She replied, smirking as well.
The Golem, although large, was extremely nimble, its speed was similar to that of a high level B-class adventurer.
"Stay here for now, wait until my signa and then cast that confining spell you have." He said as he casted the lightning bolt at the golem, creating a large puff of smoke from the Golem's rocky body.
"Summon Lightning!" He said as a lightning bolt crashed down and damaged a portion of the Golem. But slowly it began regenerating its body.
"That did nothing huh?" He said as cold sweat began dripping from his forehead.
The Golem tried to strike him but he dodged it and used its hand as leverage as he launched himself in the air. Using the downward momentum he imbued his spear with lightning and struck the Golem's right shoulder. Ripping its arm off cleanly, but with it's other arm he hit Regulus, fortunately he blocked it with his spear. As he landed on the ground the Golem seemed to be enraged.
This made the Golem focus his attention on him, he smirked as his plan was working.
"NOW!" He shouted, with this she casted [Frigid Confinement] entrapping the monster. This gave Regulus time to charge a destructive spell.
[Ceremonial LIghtning]
A large streak of lightning emerged from his hands, turning into multiple stakes and impaling the Golem. Multiple lightning strikes struck the Golem again and again, after about 9 of those lightning strikes had struck down the Golem it finally ended.
"Well….. If that didn't kill it then I'll be damned." He said as he felt light headed from the sudden loss of mana from his body.
"I knew AA class adventurer's were strong, but I didn't expect the gap between B-class and AA class to be this large."
But their relief was interrupted by a large hand coming crashing at them, Alicia didn't react fast enough but Regulus did as he grabbed her and shielded Alicia with his body, sending the both of them crashing nearby.
"Shit….. That hurt like a mother!" Regulus yelled in pain as he didn't expect the Golem to still be alive.
"What the? It's still alive!?" Alicia said in fear as she didn't expect the Golem to be able to survive from the previous attack it sustained.
"Its core….. I was careless, I forgot monsters like these have mana cores…" He said as he was extremely disappointed in himself. He stood up and approached the Golem, as if indicating he wanted to do it alone.
"Wait what are you-"
"I might lose consciousness from this, but it won't be from my injuries but the sudden disappearance of mana from my body, so just place me in the carriage." He said, giving her a smirk.
Closing his eyes he took a deep breath and focused on the sealed power he held. His body started giving off a dark red aura, his green eyes turning red matching his hair. He outstretched his hand in the direction of the Golem as he whispered….
"Prodire"
A scarlet, liquid looking beam came from his hands, it was large that it blasted a hole through the Golem, and went on to destroy the landscape behind it, the Golem's body immediately collapsed down into pieces.
Just like he said, he fainted and fell down; luckily it was at Alicia's direction so she managed to catch him.
"What was that liquid beam?" She said as she sat there dumbfounded at what she just witnessed.
