Surprisingly, Hazel wasn't its target as it turned toward the fleeing Kayle and released some of the liquid, which shot out in a frightening motion at her.
The concentrated liquid hit Kayle on the back, and she crashed to the ground with a yelp.
Hazel glanced at her to see if she was alright and saw her groaning on the floor in pain.
"So it wasn't deadly," Hazel muttered. She had thought it was some sort of acid that would melt Kayle's back. Good thing for Kayle it wasn't.
It was concentrated water, shot out like a bullet. It wasn't deadly, but it would sure hurt like hell, enough to stun whoever it hit.
Hazel then sensed the same projectile heading towards her and swiftly moved to the side, avoiding it.
Hazel's heart began to race as she felt the amphibian creature was dangerous, almost cunning. It had tried to attack her while she was distracted, meaning it had a certain level of intelligence.
