Ch- 2 :Flashback

Today, every child in Utopia knows the story of the great warlord Warren, Hero of Humanity.

"War-Light Kingdom," one of the seven great homo sapiens sapien species nations that led the battle for dominance centuries ago. Even now, the fearful memories of that war persist, with disputes of centuries escalating into a war between demons and humans.

Under the hundred-day war, homohumans had already lost 30% of their population, extinct from the world.

The demonic sapiens, born with incredible power, held the upper hand, and the war became a one-sided massacre.

Helpless humans faced predicaments and sought understanding of their mistakes, pleading with other groups of sapiens and other species for help, facing extinction.

But no one stepped forward for homo sapiens sapiens, who were about to disappear in number.

In the midst of impending human defeat, a name emerged: a young man and his party ventured into the demon kingdom, vanquishing the symbol of fear, the demon king.

His act of courage turned the tide of the war, earning him the title of Gyros, the hero of human society.

The King of the Light Kingdom passed his throne to Warren, and with the support of his allies, he recaptured all seven kingdoms, unifying the true human race. The War-Light Kingdom became a symbol of hope and resilience for humanity in Utopia.

Every other species was bewildered by the unexpected return of exhausted special just because of the arrival of one man.

"All due to a single name, Warren, warlord hero of humanity, remarkable achievements were now held in high esteem across the planet.

Finally, after centuries of war, under the guidance of their hero, humanity regained the lands fallen into the hands of demons.

Seeing an opportunity to make a relationship with the first warlord appearance of Homo sapiens, other kingdoms and nobles engaged their daughters with the Hero.

The present Light Kingdom flag changed with the symbol of the Warlight Empire.

All other Homo sapiens rulers gave up within a week, kneeled in front of the rule of Warlord Warren, along with his 100th wife and children.

At present, inside the prison below the mansion outside Light City, in the region of the Night Rider royal family, a young man with black hair and cream white face, holding deep darkness in dilated iris gaze, the blue moon lights entered through prison windows, falling on a book's white page—Forbidden Knowledge of Evolution by Key Darwin.

Putting the book aside, his restless eyes looked at the sword near him.

The young man tirelessly struck his sword against a black pillar at the center of the prison. Sweat poured from his body as he reflected on his life.

"Huff, huff, seventeen years have passed since I was born in this world. From opening my pupil inside my mother's body to about to reach adulthood of my life.

I don't remember when time passed so fast. For an ISEKAI fan like me, being born in a new world is a blessing, as I thought, but in reality, it made me realize that it's not. But I don't even wish to return because there's nothing left for a loser like me on old Earth.

In my previous life, my story was similar to the miserable character before transmigration. But initially, I was born into a great family; my father was a business tycoon. I had everything a boy on Earth dreams of, and I always looked down on others, like 99.9% of rich boys do.

Morning on money bed, walking on money carpet, eating with spoon full of money, traveling in money car, dancing on money floor, sleeping with money girls.

However, everything turned upside down on that rainy night. All my dreams of enjoying my filthy wealth, traveling the world, buying luxurious cars, everything came crashing down in a second.

[Flashback]

On that rainy night, a car stopped in the middle of the road, and a boy rolled out, falling onto the wet ground.

Boy: Father, what does this mean? Why did you throw me out of the car? It's raining outside, and you know I hate rain.

The stern man in the car gazed at the boy with no expression and spoke in a harsh tone:

Father: My dear useless son, our family has gone through decades of sacrifice and unbearable hardship to build what we are today.

Boy: I already know all this, you've spoken these words hundreds of times to me.

Father: Shut up, don't interrupt me!

A loud roar thundered as he threw a book towards the boy's face. The boy managed to catch it, and when he saw the book's cover, his eyes shrank in shock. It was a book titled "Hundreds of Ways to Waste Your Daddy's Money."

Boy: Sorry father, it's not my book, it's… ah, my friend forgot it at my house.

Father: It doesn't matter to whom it belongs; from this day until you turn twenty, you are not allowed to enter this house, and no one will provide any kind of support to you.

Boy: No, father, you can't do this to me!

Father: You dare interrupt me again. If you manage to survive until you turn twenty, all my belongings will belong to you, which is impossible for a domestic rabbit like you to survive a single day in the wilderness.

As I said, if you survive, everything will be mine. If not, all my inheritance will go to my cute little daughter.

The little girl in the backseat rolled down the window and said with a sinister smile:

Little Girl: Bye-bye, brother. I'll enjoy every penny of your inheritance.

Boy: [Cursing] Father, sister…

No, my father was wrong. This isn't wilderness; it's hell. Maybe living in hell is better; at least there's no hope for heaven. I beg every day, every hour, every second, just for a piece of bread. I fear every moment that I'll die of starvation. I curse him every day, wondering how he could do this to his own son.

Time passed, and finally, I didn't have to beg for a piece of bread anymore. But this wasn't the end; it just exchanged unbearable pain for shorter periods of hardship. Working as a laborer at a construction site, I realized I was not the only one suffering.

Strange feeling this gave me the strength to endure more hardships. At least I have some hope; probably my father's mind will change one day, he will pity me, and I just have to wait for that day.

Indulging myself in work, I lost track of how many months or years had passed since I stopped watching the calendar. After a few months, I stopped working at the construction site, and luckily, I met a person who offered me a job at his shop.

After a year of working there, I had a great plan to start my own business. Everything was going well; my business was growing day by day. My eyes were about to sparkle with a new shine and brightness. New hope arrived in my life; there was no need for my father anymore.

With my maturity, I began to see life with new sparks of self-independence. Maybe if I continue to grow like that, I could build the next self-made tycoon.

I desperately wanted to show him, the son he threw thinking of as garbage, is now standing foot to foot with him.

Make him guilty of his mistake; I wanted tosee the same car that he threw in the rain that night, pleading for me to return back.

Aside from money, there was one more important thing that made my life complete—someone whom I could call family. I yelled to the night sky, "I am not alone anymore."

My business partner's daughter and I fell in love with each other at first sight. After money, something that made my life complete was holding her soft, white lotus hand.

When I was a child, my father once said great words, "Don't be unhappy in sadness and never let your guard down in happiness." Just words, but not everyone can understand their true meaning.

My business partner, who was about to become my father-in-law, sold 50% of the shares to a rival company. A big slap woke me up from the delusion of an imaginary world. It made me bleed to realize that in reality, things never happen as planned. My whole life turned upside down.

I was sentenced to jail for money laundering, and the most frustrating part was that I was just about to reach my twentieth birthday, just one day away.

Deep down, I still hoped that my father would save me, but my mind had already given up, thinking about how pathetic I had become.

Inside the prison, the day was brutal, assaulting, and the night was lonely, dark, with buzzing, biting friends.

One night, I slept a surprisingly comfortable sleep, and the next morning, the new sun of this world woke me up to a new life, with no change in fate.
