Chapter 387

"I don't have much Grade 5 Dragon Force Pills left—only five in total. The Grade 4 secret medicine is also limited," Yoichi explained as he placed several bottles in front of Ino and Sakura. "However, for Grade 3 and below, there are dozens of each type available."

In Yoichi's original timeline, Grade 3 pills could be mass-produced through mechanization. However, starting from Grade 4, the process caused noticeable disturbances during refinement, requiring them to be crafted manually.

Recently, he had been preoccupied with developing the "Madam's Treasure" project and hadn't made many new pills. Besides, he was already proficient with these medicines and didn't find it necessary to stockpile them.

"This... this is already plenty!"

Sakura marveled at the array of medicine bottles before her. With these, she thought, the strength of the Five Kage and Sasuke could be significantly enhanced, providing immense support for their mission.

"Yoichi-kun, can we borrow all of these? Konoha will repay you once the mission is over," Sakura asked earnestly.

Yoichi glanced at Ino, his gaze carrying a deliberate intensity that didn't escape Sakura's notice.

Blushing slightly, Ino glared at him in return, silently chiding him for being so obvious.

"Alright, you can take them. Just make sure to return them later. Do you need anything else besides these?"

Sakura nodded. "Yes, but we can pay for the rest directly since the other villages will also need them. Thank you, Yoichi-kun."

"It's nothing. Pick what you need," he said, handing Sakura a list of medicines.

As Sakura calculated the required amount based on the number of participants in the mission, she considered how these medicines would significantly reduce the burden on medical ninja and expedite recovery.

Meanwhile, Ino, wearing a "sweet" smile, looked at Yoichi. "Yoichi-san, I have something I'd like to ask you."

"Let's talk next door. We shouldn't disturb Sakura while she's picking medicines."

With that, Yoichi led Ino outside, though Sakura couldn't help but notice their interaction. Once they were gone, she muttered to herself, These two are so obvious.

Once outside, Ino pinched Yoichi's waist lightly and whispered angrily, "Idiot! Sakura almost figured it out. Stop trying to be so considerate of my feelings all the time!"

Despite her scolding, Ino felt a flicker of happiness knowing how much Yoichi cared for her.

"Well, it's been a while since you visited me," Yoichi said with a sigh. "It might be years before we can spend more time together—until your son graduates from the Academy."

Ino's guilt deepened as she listened. "I know, it's my fault. But if I came too often, people would start to suspect. I promise to make it up to you," she murmured, leaning closer to his ear.

Yoichi sighed again. "I understand, but I've missed you. Once you're free, how about we take a trip to the hot springs?"

"A hot spring trip... Fine. I'll make time after the mission is over," Ino agreed, guilt compelling her to offer something in return.

"Great! And during the trip, I'd like to see you in white stockings and a sheer dress while enjoying the hot springs... and maybe a massage, too," Yoichi teased.

"Idiot! Don't push your luck!" Ino blushed furiously, pinching his waist again. Her voice softened as she added, "We'll see."

"Oh, right, here's something for you—a newly developed secret medicine, the Jonin Pill."

Yoichi handed her a jade bottle. "This pill can grant an ordinary person the chakra level of a Jonin. If you take it, it will permanently double your chakra."

Ino's eyes widened in astonishment. "Is this real? If my chakra doubles, I'd be among the strongest Jonin!"

Though her chakra wasn't immense, it was on par with an average Jonin. Doubling it would make her strength soar significantly.

"Of course, it's real. The more chakra one has, the greater the effects. Even if someone has no chakra, as long as they have life energy, it can still double their reserves. Try it when you get home," Yoichi encouraged.

At that moment, Sakura's voice called from inside, "I'm done!"

Startled, Ino quickly tucked the jade bottle into her pocket and stepped away from Yoichi.

As Sakura emerged, Yoichi asked calmly, "All set? Let me see what you've chosen... This much? Honestly, I'd believe you were preparing for a war. Are you sure Konoha won't get dragged into anything?"

Sakura laughed. "Of course not! Don't worry, these are just for missions."

Satisfied, Yoichi handed over the selected medicines and had Sakura sign a purchase agreement, completing their transaction.

With the storage scroll in hand, Sakura felt relieved. She hadn't expected things to go so smoothly. It seemed bringing Ino along had been the right decision.

"Thank you, Yoichi-kun. Once the other villages send their payment, we'll deliver it to you."

Sakura smiled as she expressed her gratitude. Though Ino wanted to stay longer, she couldn't, given that she had come with Sakura.

As they walked back toward the Hokage's office, the two women remained silent for a while. Eventually, Sakura tilted her head and said, "Ino, I didn't expect everything to go so smoothly. It's all thanks to you."
