Chapter 395

The shinobi world briefly returned to peace. After four days of treatment and recovery in Konoha, the injured from the other four villages had mostly healed and began their journey back to their respective homes.

Despite the Five Great Nations working together, they were at an impasse—facing two enemies, yet unable to locate either of them.

Kara still had some leads. They had identified its leader and even discovered its headquarters. A battle had taken place, and although they had lost to Jigen, at least they had some clues to follow.

However, when it came to the ones wielding the Kamui Mangekyō Sharingan and the Tenseigan, the Five Great Nations were completely lost.

There was no intelligence on them—no way to track them, no hints from Victor, and no sign of their arrival whenever they used Kamui. It was impossible to predict their movements.

As long as the Kamui and Tenseigan clones did not expose themselves, the Five Great Nations had no chance of finding Uchiha Yoichi's two avatars.

Moreover, the Tenseigan clone had built a reputation as one of the wealthiest merchants in the Land of Fire—perhaps even the entire shinobi world. The rapid rise of Orange Mobile had taken the market by storm within just a few months.

"Let's stay quiet for now. The Kamui clone should continue monitoring Ōtsutsuki Isshiki's whereabouts. The most important thing right now is dealing with the Jūbi."

After careful consideration, Yoichi made his decision. The longer the Jūbi was left alone, the more it would evolve.

The artificial Divine Tree project could wait. Once the Ōtsutsuki clone was fully cultivated, it would be time to eliminate Jigen and his Jūbi.

...

Several Months Later

"Inojin, this secret medicine was something I came across by chance. It will help you gain stronger chakra, but you must never rely on it. Otherwise, I won't forgive you!"

Ino warned him sternly. She had no intention of forcing growth unnaturally, but seeing Inojin struggle due to her own choices had made her feel guilty.

After much thought—and even consulting Yoichi several times—she had finally decided to give Inojin a Jōnin Pill.

With a Jōnin's level of chakra, at least his combat performance at the academy would improve significantly.

Having more chakra didn't necessarily mean an increase in power, but at the very least, it would let him go from being able to cast only four or five jutsu to casting thirty or more.

Inojin frowned. "Mom, do I really have to take this? I don't care if my grades are a little lower. I'd rather train and improve over time."

"If you don't want to take it, I won't force you. But think carefully… The rumors haven't been kind, have they?"

Ino sighed. She could already guess what was going through her son's mind. She softened her tone and said, "Inojin, you don't need to worry about your father and me. We will handle our issues. No matter what happens, we both love you."

Her words stopped Inojin from saying what was on his mind. He had been struggling with his parents' strained relationship, and his performance at the academy had plummeted as a result.

He had hoped that by doing poorly, he could somehow bring his parents back together. But now he realized that his mother had already seen through him.

"...Are you sure I can refuse? If I don't take it, you'll take it back?"

"Of course."

After a brief hesitation, Inojin clenched his fists and relented. "I'll take it!"

Even though he was troubled by his family's situation, he couldn't ignore the reality that he was falling behind his peers. If this could help him grow stronger, he wouldn't let the opportunity pass.

"Then take it now. I'll watch over you to make sure everything is fine."

Ino smiled, reassured. She had medical knowledge herself, and more importantly, she trusted Yoichi's research.

"A weird pill… Can it really make that much of a difference?"

"Stop overthinking it. Do you think I'd harm you?"

At her urging, Inojin swallowed the Jōnin Pill. The moment it touched his tongue, it dissolved into a cool liquid that flowed down his throat.

Before he could react, a powerful surge of chakra erupted within him.

Boom!

A shockwave burst outward, and his body became enveloped in a blue flame-like aura of chakra.

Alarmed, Ino immediately asked, "Inojin, are you okay!?"

"I-I'm fine! I don't feel bad at all."

He examined his hands in amazement. "Wait… Mom, this feels incredible! How do I have so much chakra!? And it's still increasing!"

The Jōnin Pill was an improved version of the a six tier pill, containing highly refined natural energy stones and even traces of Yoichi's own blood. It was also infused with numerous rare medicinal ingredients.

The result exceeded even Yoichi's expectations.

Inojin's chakra reserves skyrocketed by more than ten times, surpassing even Ino's perception.

Moreover, the rapid chakra growth was permanently enhancing his body and spirit. Even if the current surge faded, he would be able to refine and regenerate chakra far more efficiently than before. His entire physique was undergoing permanent strengthening.

After a minute or two, the aura around Inojin finally stabilized. Yet, he still felt incredibly energized—like his body was strengthening every second, and chakra flowed effortlessly without needing to be extracted.

Uncertain about his condition, Ino took him to Konoha Hospital, seeking Sakura's expertise.

After two hours of blood tests and cellular analysis, the strange sensation finally subsided.

Sakura, after reading the results, looked at Ino with wide eyes.

"Ino… what did you do? Inojin's cells are unbelievably active. His regeneration rate is far beyond normal, and his chakra levels have skyrocketed."

"He took a secret medicine. Yoichi-san developed a Jōnin Pill—it permanently enhances chakra reserves. He gave me one before, and since Inojin was struggling in practical exams lately…"

After some hesitation, Ino decided to tell Sakura the truth.

Sakura's expression turned thoughtful. "This isn't a bad thing. In fact, it's incredible. His body is in perfect condition—just… a little too healthy. Just let him train normally and eat well, and he'll be fine."

After reassuring them, she narrowed her eyes and grinned mischievously.

"But tell me, Ino… What exactly is this Jōnin Pill? We're best friends, aren't we? You wouldn't hide something like this from me, right?"

She leaned in with a knowing smirk. "What grade of medicine is it? Why haven't I heard about it before? And… did Yoichi only give one to you?"

"And also… something's going on between you two, isn't there?"

Sakura's piercing gaze locked onto Ino.

She had been suspicious for a while. That dream she had… It felt too real.

Ino and Yoichi. Over and over again. Even in her own bed.

There was no way that was just a coincidence.
