As she approached the group, her gaze swept over them with a daring, intimidating intensity.

"I see we have all the family here," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. Nolan, seated between Itzel and Emelia, his eyes narrowed, his voice snapping with tension.

"Are you marrying Clinton?" The satisfactory smile on her face was like a red flag, taunting him.

Paige, however, remained indifferent, her expression a mask of calm. "Why?" she replied, her voice laced with a hint of challenge. "Am I not allowed to?" The room seemed to hold its breath, waiting for the next move in this game of power and deception.

Itzel, shot her a scornful glance, her eyes wide with fury. Seeing all those bruises on Nolan's face didn't make her any more concerned. Emelia's face contorted in disgust, her eyes fixed on Paige with a venomous glare.

"You're a disgrace, Paige," she spat, her voice laced with hatred. "You've always been a disappointment to me."
