The Mask

As the elevator doors opened, Nolan and the nurse stepped out into the dimly lit hospital corridor. The soft hum of machines and the faint murmur of patients' voices filled the air. Nolan's eyes scanned the hallway, his mind racing with the implications of what the nurse had just told him.

"Keep a close eye on Room 314," he instructed the nurse, his voice low and urgent. "If you notice anything unusual, don't hesitate to page me. And don't confront Luis alone. I'll handle it."

The nurse nodded, her expression resolute. "I will, Doctor. Thank you for listening."

Nolan nodded and continued down the hall, his long strides carrying him swiftly towards the heart surgery suite. His mind was already focused on the complex procedure ahead, but a part of him lingered on the disturbing news about Nurse Luis and Paige's sudden behavior. He knew he had to act quickly to protect his patients as well as his plans to towards a higher position.
