The Diva She Is

Emelia sprang to her feet, her anger fueling her pursuit of Paige. Midway to the door, she reached out, gripping Paige's shoulder firmly, spinning her around to face her.

" Don't get ahead of yourself," Emelia hissed, the words dripping with venom. "You haven't achieved anything yet." She added, her tone seething with rage.

A smug grin unfurled on Paige's lips. "Then why do you look so anxious? She taunted, a glint of mockery dancing in her eyes."

"What?" Emelia mumbled, taken aback by her audacity.

"You shouldn't scowl so much, mother. It would be best if you smiled when we meet their family," Paige remarked coldly, her stare piercing. Silence hung between them, thick with tension. "Just as I've had to plaster a smile on my face all these years under your roof."

Emelia scoffed, finding her amusing but the same time, threatening.
