Facing Fears

"Am I safe?" Paige said, as she strolled into the room, her eyes darting between Clinton and Kelvin, her mind racing with uncertainty.

Clinton's expression turned reassuring, his smile warm and comforting. "You're perfectly safe, Paige. I promise. We're here to help you."

Kelvin nodded in agreement, his eyes locked onto hers, his gaze intense. "We mean you no harm. We're here to guide you through this process."

Paige's eyes narrowed, her skepticism evident. "What process? You're still not telling me what's going on."

Clinton stepped forward, his hands spread wide in a calming gesture. "We'll explain everything, Paige. But first, we need to get started. Time is of the essence."

Paige hesitated, her instincts screaming caution. But something about Clinton's words resonated deep within her. She felt a spark of trust ignite, and her doubts began to fade.

"Okay," she said finally, her voice barely above a whisper. "I'll trust you."
