Chapter 4

The first boss fight?

After opening the boss room, some monsters started to attack him. He was looking where the boss was.

In the beginning, he didn't recognize the boss monster. Tanun was fighting the underlines in the boss's room and wondered why the boss wasn't showing himself. After a while, he noticed his vision was becoming blurred and couldn't remain focused. It was because the 1st floor's final boss was a spell caster. The boss had immunity to magic powers. So, the only way to defeat him is physical damage.

Since Tanun was used to dealing with monsters, he somehow managed to defeat the underlines. Boss made multiple images of himself. Being affected by Boss's magical spells, Tanun couldn't keep his stance. He fell to the ground then, and the only thought that crossed his mind was that he was failing again. He was helpless again, even after getting another chance to prove himself.

At that time, a new message came to Tanun. The message was,

[To appreciate your courage, you have received a gift from (Master).]

Gift: Active skill (Body Reinforcement)

[Since the player is half-conscious, the skill will be activated for the player's safety.]

At the same time, the boss was coming close to Tanun to kill him. In that brief moment, Tanun regains his consciousness and strength. Thanks to muscle reflex, he somehow manages to dodge the finishing strike of the boss. Now Tanun is fully charged to put up a fight against the villain.

Since, Tanun cannot use magic and the boss is also immune to spells. So, Tanun had only a chance with physical attacks but was scared and confused simultaneously because he had never done any boss raid alone. He couldn't decide what plan he should use or how he would defeat that thing.

After thinking for some time while dodging attacks, he just let it go on his destiny and attacked the boss with all he had. But that wasn't enough to seriously hurt that thing and without thinking Tanun gave his all and scratched, tore, and bites the boss. Afterward, he was heavily injured but could defeat the boss at least.

[You leveled up]

By leveling up Tanun recovered some stamina however he was bleeding all over.

{Level-up doesn't fully heal the player.}

Now he has the confidence to clear all floors but this thought didn't come to his mind that his body was in pain.

He then came to the second-floor gate of the 2nd floor and realized there was a level requirement to enter the further floors.

[A player must need to be level 10 to enter further floors]

He couldn't enter the next floor, which he didn't fulfill. He was at level '9'. A new notification came to him...

[Qualification failed!]

[You have to enter the next level within 72 hours]

[Quest failure: death!]

He was confused and questioned himself as to why he wasn't qualified. He completed the 1st trial completely. Did he forget to clear something?

That book and the person again appeared in front of Tanun. This time he wasn't scared at all. With leveling up he also gained more confidence in himself.

He asked that person, "Why did you give me this chance?"

The man said, "It's very boring in here, from today you are my entertainment." "You may not know what I am, but you will regret meeting me one day."
