The city of Pohang (1)

I sit across from Yong and Han in the dimly lit common area of Yong's shelter, the weight of the recent developments hanging heavy in the air. Yong leans forward, his face etched with concern as he begins to speak.

"Taesung came down to the city center of Uljin recently," he says, his voice low and serious. "He started recruiting people, offering them free resources and supplies in exchange for their loyalty to the government shelter."

I feel a flicker of unease at his words, a sense of foreboding that I can't quite shake. Taesung is a powerful and influential figure, a man with deep ties to the government and a reputation for ruthlessness. If he's actively recruiting survivors from the city, then something big must be happening.

"Some people from the City Hall shelter have already followed him," Han adds, his voice heavy with worry. "They were swayed by his promises of safety and security, of a better life under the government's protection."
