The Lost City of Sinners (1)

"Here we are Miss Trinity." A Hellion valet opens the door with a gold keycard and gestures for her to enter. Trinity smiles and passes through the doorway but is unprepared for what she sees.

She enters into a massive foyer that directly leads to a large lounge area. There are two large white sofas on either side at the center. There's matching love seats adjacent to them at each end. A large glass coffee table with a gold base is in the middle from all four sides. To the right, a large kitchen can be found, with black and gold marble counters, stainless steel appliances and dark cabinets. Between the kitchen and lounge area is the dining area, where there's a long glass table with a mahogany base across its length. To the direct left of the lounge area, there's a small dip and this leads to an expansive entertainment area. There's more casual sofas and chairs, a wall-length sound system against one side, and a huge flatscreen television in the middle console of the stand. There's a pool table in the middle of the room, and a small table in a corner.

Trinity looks back at the man. "I'm sorry, are we in the correct apartment? This can't be right?"

He looks at her strangely. "What do you mean Miss Trinity, of course this is the right place." He smiles. "Please follow me. I'll show you the remaining rooms. This way." He gestures to the hall down the left side. Trinity follows him quietly, still in awe of the entry areas. The hall is long, the walls an off-white cream color. "To the right here is a guest bathroom. To the left is a guest room. You may explore them at your leisure later but let us continue forward to the end there."

"Yes, of course." Trinity agrees, but still takes a quick glance at the two rooms. The bathroom is as large as her old bedroom, and has a full shower, bath, and enclosed toilet space. The bedroom is twice the size, and has a massive double-bed, small lounge space, media space and full closet.

"Your master bedroom is here Miss Trinity, please have a look." He opens the double doors at the end of the hall, and Trinity is seemingly transported to an oasis. There's another elegant lounge space like the one outside, just on a slightly smaller scale and with a darker grey color. To the right is a small nook with a table and compact kitchen bar. Towards the left side of the room behind a thin curtain is a massive, rounded king bed, perhaps even bigger than that. It could easily fit six average sized bodies in it with room to spare. Trinity's never seen one like it.

"This is unbelievable!" She's blown away by what she's seen, and there's still more to see. The bed lies parallel to the lounge area, lengthwise against the leftmost wall and at the top for width. There's an end table on either side, each with a bedside lamp. On the opposite wall is a large flatscreen, though not as large as the outside. A large oak dresser sits beneath it, with a radio on top. To the right is the door that leads to a gigantic walk-in closet. It doesn't hold particular interest to Trinity though, as she's got a very basic wardrobe. To the left is a door that leads to the bathroom however, and that is a whole other story. "Oh my…." She's left speechless.

"It seems you are most taken aback by this bathroom Miss Trinity. I take it it's to your liking?"

"That's an understatement Geralt. I'm completely mesmerized by this bathroom and everything else!" The bathroom is similar to the guest bathroom, but on a grander scale. The shower is its own enclosed space, as is the toilet. There's a double sink counter across the back wall and to the side across from the shower wall, there's a large jet bathtub and jacuzzi. Six people could easily fit inside all these spaces as well. She can already imagine herself pruning after relaxing for all the hours she can already imagine herself putting into this bathroom alone. "This is paradise."

"I'm very happy you are satisfied Miss Trinity, and I'm sure Mistress Amlith will be as well. We can go see it now if you'd like, but there's also a back entrance behind the lounge area outside that leads to the rooftop patio where you'll find the pool, comprehensive bar and lounging deck."

"No, it's fine Geralt, I'll save that for later. I need to process inside first." She sits in an armchair by the door, which is beside a very large bookcase. "This is really all mine? Are you truly sure?"

"Yes Miss Trinity, I'm certain. Miss Amlith requested I bring you here, to her Limbo Penthouse Apartment Suite. It's where she would stay should she ever need to reside here for a time. Though she's never once used it. She truthfully doesn't bother herself with matters here, as Miss Symone typically dominates most affairs here. They try to avoid stepping on each other's toes."

"Miss Symone? Who is that? Mistress has never mentioned her before." Trinity asks curiously.

Geralt suddenly looks nervous. "Oh! Well, it's of no importance now. Mistress will surely tell you all about her when necessary. Don't worry about that." He seems to be in a slight panic. "I must mention though, Mistress Amlith has her own key, and may stop by to check in at times."

"Of course. I'd have been more surprised if you told me she didn't. I'll ask her about Symone." He looks at her as though he wants to protest, but he holds his tongue, fearing speaking out of turn. "Relax Geralt, I won't mention you said anything. I'll simply say I heard it on the street."

He nods gratefully. "Thank you Miss Trinity, you are too gracious." He seems to calm down.

"Seriously though, this feels so excessive. I'm appreciative of course, don't get me wrong. I just don't know if I deserve this much, especially if this is on a trial basis. Especially for me alone."

"Well, the Mistress did say that I should expect there will be guests frequenting here once you get settled in, so I assume you won't be alone very often. Or was that my mistake Miss Trinity?"

"That's news to me Geralt. I hadn't expected to have many guests, as I don't know anyone here. Perhaps she means my potential suitors, but even that seems premature. While we agreed that I was free to take other lovers, surely she doesn't think I'll start grabbing up everyone I meet?"

"I can't presume to know her thoughts Miss Trinity, it's just what she mentioned. If that's not the case, then I apologize." He becomes a bit stiff. "Please allow me to provide you with this key."

He holds out the gold key to Trinity and she reaches out to accept it. "Thank you Geralt. I'll be sure to keep it secure." She places it on the end table beside her. "Also, I've been meaning to say it all this time, but please don't feel pressured to call me Miss all the time. I'd honestly prefer if you just called me Trinity. Miss just sounds so stuffy and formal. I don't consider you my slave."

He bows slightly. "Thank you Miss Trinity, you are too kind. However, the Mistress insists that all her employees retain a level of respect to her and her associates. So while I understand your desires, I'm afraid I can't defy the Mistress. I hope you can understand." He bows to her again.

"Of course, the others have all said that too. I don't want to bring you any trouble Geralt, so it's fine." She takes a cellphone from her pocket. "So, you mentioned that this phone is loaded with your number and that I should simply call you when I need anything or a ride someplace?"

"Yes, that's right Miss Trinity. I am your personal valet and butler at all times. Please don't hesitate to call on me for anything at any time, no matter how late or early it may be. I will be staying in the butler's quarters at the end of the hall outside this apartment, so I will be nearby."

"I see. I'll keep that in mind then, but I'll also do my best to not call you too often. I don't want to impose on your own time." She returns the phone to her pocket. "I can take care of myself."

"Of course Miss Trinity, I'm sure you're quite competent. However, I still will always be wholly available to you at any time. I'll also be serving as your personal bodyguard when you go out, so please rely on me." He stands up taller and shows off his fangs and pointed ears. "Believe it or not, I'm quite competent in battle. I can handle a minotaur class Hellion easily. You'll be safe."

Trinity laughs lightheartedly. "Of course Geralt, I don't doubt your skills. Thank you for that."

"It's my pleasure Miss Trinity." Geralt looks at his watch. "Well, it seems I've already taken up too much of your time so I will excuse myself here. You should take some time to relax a while."

"Oh, it's already Noon," Trinity says while looking at the wall clock. "I think I'll rest a while."

"Very good. Then please excuse me. Don't forget, you may call on me at any time. Please take care Miss Trinity. I implore you to call for me anytime you need to go out. The city is a danger, even for someone such as yourself. While you cannot be killed but you can be captured or hurt."

"I understand Geralt, I'll be careful. I still don't know the city well, so I will likely call on you for a tour later this evening. I'd like to have something tasty for dinner. So I will call on you ok?"

He bows. "Very good Miss Trinity." She walks him out. "Until later, rest well Miss Trinity." He walks away down the hall and enters a small corner apartment. It's the only other apartment on the floor, only the elevator at the other end. It's just the two of them now, which is a comfort, but also strangely lonely. However Trinity shrugs it off and returns inside shutting the door securely.

She returns to her bedroom and removes her outer clothes before stretching out across the bed. She lies in only her undergarments and wears a single pendant around her neck. She takes it gently into her palm and strokes it with affection. "Hey Shi, want to come see our new home?" The pendant glows softly with a golden light, and it soon takes the form of a floating cloud. The cloud slowly manifests into a proper form, until it finally reveals a young girl floating in the air. While her black hair and golden eyes are distinct, her form is still transparent to all but Trinity.

She looks around with a youthful spirit and grins with satisfaction. "Hey Sis, it's been a while."
