The Smell Of Blood, Sweat and Drool

Everyone had begun making their way to the Tower Of Babel, not meeting much resistance yet. The denizens of Pandora's Melody were in a frenzy, trying to escape, thinking it was the end of the city upon the sight of the first few Decaynine squadrons arriving. 

"Mollia... How much further?" Vinea complained as he ran behind Avis. "I'd say another like... thirty minutes." Ven said with a laugh as he hopped through portal to portal, leaving everyone behind to follow with Zamtika. 

"I swear I shoulda got a movement heart..." Vinea complained as Avis threw one of her feathers to shut him up. 

They soon turned a corner, reaching the front of the Tower of Babel, only to see hoards upon hoards of Decaynines, varying in size and strength as Cheshire stood front and centre with a big grin on his cold steel face as he held up a plush version of Panila. "It lookz like the rabbitz hazcome to playzzz! SHALL WE SHOW THEM THE TRUE DREAMZ OF OUR FUTURE!" He yelled with an electronic skip in his step as he jumped back, hanging on a lamppost with his tail, hovering slightly as he twirled his mechanical wrists with flair. 

"Are we gonna fight or are you just gonna break into song?" Ven said with a smirk, readying his gun-blade. Everyone took his lead, readying their weapons, though Vex just awkwardly held up a metal pole.

Before Ven could fire a shot, Cheshire put his finger up in a shushing motion. "Before wez start. Panila wantz a wordz about youz!" He laughed wildly as he tossed the doll in the air. Chains shot out from its back, puppeteering it as Panila's demonic voice spoke through as it faced the army of Decaynines.

"Rabbit. Bird. Vine. Centipede. Fox. Oni. Jackelope. Bring me their heads and you will be given anything you desire."

They all let out a howl in celebration as Cheshire readied his hand, snapping it down for the Decaynines to begin. Ven let out a bored sigh as he summoned a gigantic portal in front of himself and fired a bullet through a small blue entrance portal in front of the barrel of his gun. In an instant, tens of Decaynines were knocked away in an explosive display.

Zamtika couldn't help but laugh as everyone but Fox looked a bit dumbstruck. "Why are you standing there? This is a battle field, not a stage show!" Ven said with a smirk on his face as he began jumping through portals, slicing his way through Decaynines like paper, not holding back.

Tika couldn't help but join, quickly running her spear through a line of unfortunate Decaynines, pulling the trigger and exploding them in a violent display of strength and ferocity. She casually dusted off some guts from her duster before going in for another charge as Avis swooped over head, Fox in hand.

She dropped him down, and as he did, he quickly shifted Red and Blue into Violet, using it as a hammer, crushing a few of the hounds. He ripped a large tooth out of a Decaynine's mouth and began stabbing away as Violet shifted into a rifle, that he swiftly grabbed. The sound of Violet's broken mimicry of laughter rung through out the plaza. 

Fox turned to see Vinea awkwardly fighting off a Decaynine. He was flailing his vines about, accidentally getting lucky as he knocked it onto the ground. "Uh... What do I do!?" He yelled in confusion, quickly swinging his way to Ven. "You kill them?" He answered as he continued firing rounds off.

"I thought you wanted to do non lethal!?" Vinea yelled, barely dodging getting his face ripped off by a Decaynine that was swiftly killed by a shot to the head. "Look. Their is a difference between killing people and these... Zombies? Turns out they're just husks off there former self. Learned that bit from Splice."

"AND?!" Vinea yelled before accidentally falling back and killing it with a thorn to the eye. He began freaking out, having never been one to kill. He quickly swung over to Avis and Senshi, who were sitting on a rooftop. "Hey... You look well." She joked, though her smirk faded when she noticed how shaken Vinea looked. "I... Just killed something... Oh gods... I think I'm gonna throw up." He said before vomiting over the building, barely missing Vex.

Vex was covering Iyu, who was storing body parts in her body for Splice. "Stop collecting and help!" She yelled as she barely fended off an attack from another approaching Decaynine. As another squadron approached, they swiftly leaped over Vex, trying to kill Iyu. The receptionist didn't even turn around as all 4 Decaynines fell to pieces in front of her, like they were unzipped.

"Help me get their brains. Splice needs more research." She smiled, quickly unzipping her chest to scoop up the parts. Vex looked a bit creeped out, but helped anyway, looking over to see more Decaynine approaching. "Oh Mollia..."

"...Are you really crying over this?" Avis said as she awkwardly comforted Vinea, who was having a slight breakdown. Senshi wrapped around his neck, smiling lightly. "I-I'm s-sure their fine. S-So why don't we stay here and let those guys handle it?"

Avis smiled as well, saying in a cheery tone; "Plus, we have the best fighters we know, making everyone look like a loser down there. We'll be here for two minutes max."

40 minutes later, Mementis and Moria were still fighting off Decaynines as they had almost reached the Tower of Babel before anyone else. "You ready?" Mementis asked as he pulled out a strange vial of a glitching ink like substance he got from Splice. "Well... This will be our last fight. Lets make it count." She nervously laughed before grabbing her brothers hand in a clasp. "Lets go out with a bang!" They muttered together.

Cheshire was laughing his electronic heart out as he watched the chaotic show before him, clapping in amusement as everyone began clearing out the last few Decaynines, throwing away the Panila plush as they began heading for the Tower Of Babel. "Wez still got a special Guest for youz! From all the wayz from the Underbellyz best labz! Our APEX!" 

Fox was already on his way to the Tower of Babel, only to be punched through a wall, dropping violet as he heard the same sickening laugh he heard back at the church. "Did you think I'd let you live?" She cackled, pouncing on top of him. "What's the matter, Fox? No more tails to tell?"

Fox struggled to move, but managed to motion for Violet. Apex was about to take off Fox's mask, only to be shoved off by Violet in a minotaur form, that quickly split back into Red and Blue. He put the two up to his mask and saying through them; "Let's finish our game, #####!" Red and Blue yelled in unison as they shifted into his signature dual pistols.

"Come at me, #######!" Apex yelled as her yellow claws glowed lightly. 

Iyu and Vex had caught up with Ven and Tika as they gathered together. "Alright. Avis, Vinea and Senshi will join up in a minute. We'll get outta here when we can." Tika said as she hung up her phone. Cheshire suddenly appeared in front of the four with a sad look as he hung upside down. 

"Iz gonna levelz with you all... Stay awayz from Panilaz city. You allz have ruined everything enough."

"Yeah... No. So see you in dreaming, Cat." Ven smirked waving Cheshire off as he disappeared. Vex let out a sigh of relief as Cheshire left. "We did it... Lets go..." 

Avis, Vinea and Senshi arrived soon after. Vinea looked a bit confused, asking in a tired tone; "Where's Fox?"

Tika looked around, now wondering the same thing. "Tonikaku mo fookasu was doko da ka. Mita toki, hitori datta." She said, confusing everyone, even herself. "Τι?" Avis asked only to get more confused. 

Senshi began looking more confused, trying her best to speak in common, only to say; "Pourquoi parle-t-elle comme ça?" Vinea couldn't help but laugh, saying with a small smile; "You guys sound so weird. It's like you can't even speak common anymore." 

Ven clicked his fingers, pointing to the tower of Babel; "Immagino che la Torre di Babele sia fuori servizio?" He sighed, realising he wasn't speaking common either. He tried to get Tid-Bit, only for her to say; "Vereor ne non intellegam te, iterum conare."

Everyone let out an annoyed sigh before Vinea suggested with a flat voice; "Why don't we check out the Tower then?" Everyone looked between each other before nodding, rushing off inside the Tower Of Babel.
