The Slothful Lord Who Woke The Beast

Panila was sitting in her bedroom, staring her ceiling in depressive contemplation. She hadn't moved in over 4 hours and her staff, especially her personal guards, were worried about her. The news of Cheshire's Death was the talk of the city, and no one knew anything other then Rat and her mercs were involved.

As Panila remained motionless, a knock was heard at the door. "Hey, Boss... You doin' okay?" A masculine voice said as he opened the door. It was Bark. The first of her loyal Decaynine guards. He had a prideful smirk on his wolf muzzle as he sat next to her. "So... Everyone heard about Cheshire. Chew and Bite said they're gonna see ya later. Is that cool, or...?"

Panila took a deep breath before getting up and reorganising her suit. She had clearly been crying, yet held her composure together. "No. Tell them to prepare for our new guests. I have a feeling they shall strike tonight."

Bark gave a smug grin as he got ready to leave, his claws outstretched as he scratched his black fur. "Should we get Apex ready for deployment?"

She turned to him with a cruel, angered look. Her emotions reaching a sharp shift as she yelled in a fury; "I WANT EVERY FUCKING DECAYNINE WE HAVE IN DETAINMENT IN THE NEXT HOUR OR I'M TURNING YOU ALL INTO MY FUCKING SHOES! DON'T ASK SUCH STUPID QUESTIONS!" Panila's form twisting into a more demonic one as her voice matched her ferocious look. Bark quickly bit his tongue and ran to get everything ready.

Panila let our a roar of anger as she could barely contain herself anymore. She had finally broke, and her power was eating her up as she downed her coffee and stormed off to her office. She was prepared for the end of Rat's show.

"And so. That's the plan." Rat finished with a dramatic bow as she clutched her snow globe storage device. Tika raised a hand before Rat pointed at her. "You said nothing and just said that you have a plan. You don't have one do you?"

Everyone collectively nodded, though Ven just leaned against a wall. They had all regrouped in one of Biz's many safehouses around Desires, and it was no surprise Rat chose the garage location, as it contained a few vehicles that would be able to help out in her grand plan... if she had one.

"Look. Guys. What part of "Break in, take out Strike team Cerbi and Panila, take the hearts and whap bam pow, we win". What's wrong with that?"

"If whap bam pow is an actual part of a plan, then we're all screwed." Uma said as he walked in with the remaining stockpile of Biz's weapon parts. He tossed the pieces to Ven, who went off to work on his own as everyone began arguing about what to do.

"You know, for someone who says they're dead inside, you seem really shaken up about Rat." Tid-bit said with a smile as she appeared sitting on the workbench in the dusty garage as Ven joined her. "Look... I know killing isn't new stuff... But Cheshire wasn't a bad guy... To a point. He did torture me after all."

"Maybe... But. I still feel weird after Cheshire's dreams. Mollia's story was wrong to me... Like that's not how it should have happened."

"Well, that was the version of the story everybody had been told since my time, so maybe you just ain't thinkin' right?" He laughed, his ears flickering as he grabbed a new barrel, slotting it in with an audible click.

"But... We're near the end. I don't want things to go unresolved." Bit said with a sigh, though Ven gave her a smirk. "You know every story usually ends unresolved, right? Like, there are always points that are gonna be missed. But, I think what we could do is... Not worry about it now."

"What?" She said flatly, though Ven just waved her off as he placed his initials onto the gun-blade. "How about we go and check what the others are doing?" Ven said with a quick portal back to the central part of the garage, grabbing the blade as he walked into see everyone had given up on making a plan and decided to instead have a party.

"What... Oh Mollia, we are going to die tonight." Ven mumbled before feeling a pat on his back, turning to see Rat. "You called? What are you doing looking so glum? We have to have fun one more time!"

Ven let out a sigh as he saw Avis use her wings as LED lights and fly around the room. "I guess I'm just thinking about this all... We're almost done. What will these guys do when I'm gone?" Ven sighed, sitting down as Rat pulled up a crate, looking down at him with a smile.

"Take it from me, kid. Life doesn't get easier. People leave you, your friends betray you, your past haunts you. Death is just the credits, and you're almost done with this shitty hand you've been dealt. Life keeps going on, nothing matters. But hey, Vex has Tika. Vinea has Avis. Uma has..." She glanced over to Uma and yelled; "Hey, Uma! Who you got to live for?"

"My wife." He yelled back as he took a swig from a bottle.

"Uma has his wife... Wait, Uma has a wife?!" Rat was quickly taken away by that prospect, casually forgetting about Ven as she went off to find out more about Uma's life. Ven sighed as he went outside for some air.

"Yeah... Not a good idea to have a party before charging towards our deaths, is it?" Tika smirked as she leant over a railing, the two looked out to the city. She raised two shot glasses and handed one to Ven. "You know I can't drink, right?" He smirked as he took the glass, tapping it against his head lightly.

"Yeah... But you still owe me one." She sighed, pouring themselves a shot each before raising her glass. "To the Rabbit's Foot mercenaries' past, present and future members!" She chuckled before downing her shot.

Ven let out a sigh as he drank his with a smirk, staring at Zamtika. "You remember when we first met?"

"Yeah. You left me in a shot glass, dick. How could I forget?"

"You always remember the times I make you feel weak. But that's not the thing I was gonna say. I just remember the reason I loved ya." He gave a light chuckle as Tika gave a smug look. "And what would that be?"

"You always knew how to make me smile, even when you were angry."

Tika looked stunned before laughing, punching him in the arm and making him stagger a bit. "Ven Misa. If I didn't have your kid, I'd almost say you're an awful rabbit eared human being." She laughed before noticing Ven's face drop into a stunned silence. "W... What did I say?"

She turned around to see Vex behind her, looking just as stunned. "He's... My dad!?"

"Oh... Shit." Tika grumbled with a nervous laugh, trying to get out of this conversation but was brought back by one of Ven's portals. The 3 of them looked between each other as Tika began awkwardly explaining everything to Vex... Who was indeed, very much Vexed with her mother.

"Ven is my Dad!?"

"Calm down, Vex. I was going to tell you, but then he punched you around the face and then Wendy and then... I just sorta maybe kinda... Thought I waited too long." Tika said with a smile, awkwardly twiddling her fingers. Vex was still pissed, turning to Ven with a glare. "And you! You I didn't need you then and don't need you now!"

Ven gave a half hearted sigh and waved Vex away. "Look. Yeah, we shoulda told you. But I'm not gonna be around long enough to know you... So, I figured it'd hurt less if you only thought of me as just some guy."

Vex took a deep, calm breath before punching Ven around the face with all her might. "Who the hell says that to their kid!" Ven's head rolled off his neck as his body fell to the floor limp. Zamtika let out a sigh, handing Ven his head back as he slowly got up.

"Okay. That one was free." He smirked as he put his head back on.

After awhile of talking things over, they had come to a sort of understanding. And soon, Vex and Tika went off to discuss somethings in private as Ven stood alone once more. "Any other big revelations that need to be sorted out?" He thought to himself.

"Well. I suppose that won't do, will it?" Lily smiled as she appeared next to Ven, who jumped lightly at the white haired woman appearing next to him out of nowhere. "H... How did you...?"

"Get here? Well, it's the last time we'll be able to speak, so I figured I would pop in and say hello. Hello Ven." She said with a wave, giggling a bit to herself as she leaned against the railing, enjoying the view like everyone else. "What is your deal, Lily? You just appear, say some cryptic stuff and leave. Like, what was with that Mollia stuff the other day?" He said with an electronic sigh, his ear twitching as he began looking her over, noticing a peculiar twitching coming from her hair.

"How about this. I'll tell you one single thing about anything I know." She smiled, snapping her fingers with a slightly teasing smile. Ven rolled his eyes and said bluntly; "Are you Mollia?"

Lily shut her eyes as she shook her head. "I thought you would ask the right question... I guess she'll just keep you in the dark a little longer." She sighed and climbed on top of the railing, getting ready to jump. Before Ven could stop her, she gave a calm, accepting look and said;

"Tell my Rat her Mouse is gone."

Ven tried to stop her but instead shot awake, finding himself leaning against the railing while half asleep. "You okay, Rabbit? You look like you've seen a ghost." Rat said with a drink in hand and a giggle in her voice as she, patted him on the back as he began trying to remember Lily's words. "I was supposed to say something to you..."

"Is it that I'm hotter then Tika? I know. I do have a nice set of Wham Tits, right?" Rat began laughing her ass off, her tail almost used to present her body as she began drinking more. Suddenly, Ven snapped his fingers as he remembered.

"Who is Mouse?"

Rat's laughter died down almost immediately. She stared at Ven with a cold look as she said in a darker tone; "How the hell in my name did you hear about Mouse?" Ven gave a shrug as he walked about the roof, staring at the simulated sun as it began to set. "Lily? She goes on and on about Mollia, and I figured you could shed some light on her for me."

She looked more angered by the mere mention of Lily, summoning a sword of light as she began heading back inside. "We're going to Detainment. Now. Get your shit and follow. We ain't waiting any longer."

Ven sigh and portaled down to the centre of the garage, sitting on a black car as everyone gathered around Rat as she stood up on a crate with her usually sassy stance, keeping her anger at bay as she gave a speech.

"Not gonna lie, we might die. But if we don't, I'll make sure everyone gets the best ending to their stories! Now, let's get out their and kick Panila's ass!" She laughed and pointed to Fox, who had a paw raised. "We... We still don't have a plan." Vinea said for Fox, who nodded in agreement. But Rat gave a dismissive wave before digging around in her snow globe.

"I always keep something special for big battles."
