The Fox and The Hound

As everyone began running down the many dark, maze like halls of Detainment Domain, everyone began busting open the prison cells, causing chaos through out the building. The main plan they had come up with was to create as much chaos as possible, wanting to distract the Decaynines and Panila as much as they could, while searching for Biz and her Mercenaries at the same time.

Rat and Fox had run off ahead to search for Biz. Fox continuously shifted his form into a ball of sharp spikes, mowing down any Decaynines in the two's path. "Damn, Yellow. And here I thought Fox knew how to use ya. Pet like the master, or something like that." Rat laughed, pulling out different specialised Ratsticks and whacking Decaynines with them, leaving them as a variety of things, from chickens to sheep. It was quite the amusing sight to her really.

They soon reached a split path, with one side leading to more cells further up and the other down to Pandæmonium's chamber. Rat was going to head the other way, but Fox seemed drawn down to the chamber, confusing her. "Where you going? Biz and that lot are gonna be over here?"

But Fox's ears twitched, as they shifted into a more humanoid former resembling their old body, clutching Red and Blue, though the other two mimics were more attached then before. "I have some unfinished business to take care of. I can sense her down there." He said in a calm tone as he began walking in the other direction.

Rat began debating her options of causing chaos or watching Fox fight his way to whoever he was after. "Eh, screw it. The others can look for Biz for a bit." Rat snickered, following close behind Fox as the two of them began fighting there way down to the very bottom of the prison.

After a few minutes of running around, the two had reached the doors to the lab hidden at the bottom. Rat casually blasted the doors open with light, revealing the lab in ruins, the lights being out with the sight of bodies thrown around as it looked like something had escaped from inside. "What?" Rat seemed genuinely confused, though Fox was quick on the uptake, kicking Rat to the floor before leaping into the air, barely dodging a lethal strike.

"Mimic? Mimic? YELLOW?! YOU ARE DEAD! WHERE IS MY FOX?!" The same crazed laughter Fox was used to began to wring out as Apex, now more broken and disfigured then before crawled out of the shadows on all fours. Her green fur appeared more rotted as her face was left with only half its skin left.

"Foxy, Fox, Fox! Come out where ever you are! Don't send your mimics to fight me!" She laughed, seeming to be annoyed that Fox wasn't actually here. But Yellow Fox motioned a sigh the same way he used to as he pointed Red and Blue at Apex. "The original Fox is dead, Maera."

Apex looked confused before howling with laughter, standing up as she trailed her claws against the walls. "No, no nope. Fox... Can't be. He's not gonna die that easy? We fight every time!! WHERE IS HE!?" She growled, swinging her broken bladed like claws at Fox, who easily dodged, firing Red and Blue at her continuously.

Rat stayed in the background, watching these two rivals fight for what was going to be the last time in her eyes. She got excited as Apex grabbed Fox's leg and began smashing him against the wall multiple times, though he shrugged it off as he shifted his hand into a blade and cut off her left hand.

Apex stumbled back, howling again with a cruel laughter. "Fox? Come out Fox! Where ARE YOU!?" Her laughter was silenced by her anger getting in the way. All she wanted was a fight with her Fox, but all she got was this imposter. Her anger was beginning to well, but Fox remained calm. "You killed him. Don't you remember?"

"I... I didn't! He got back up! That's what made him my favourite toy!" She tried to laugh, but her undead feelings for Fox were beginning to well up. She soon charged for Fox again, but he rather easily dodged once again. "Is your body finally catching up to you? You're not as fast as last time."

"Shut it! You're supposed to be mute if your my Fox!"

"I guess I'm not your fox at this point, Maera. I'm just his weapon."

"Stop calling me that! I'M THE APEX OF ALL THINGS!" She yelled, trying to claw at his face in a desperate gamble, but was swiftly executed by Fox doing a single dash, slitting her throat with little effort.

She looked stunned, clutching her throat, and despite not needing to breath, she still needed to have blood. She fell to the floor, staring up at Fox with a saddened and frustrated look. "I... I... Where's my Fox...?"

"You really wanna know?" He said as he shifted to his Fox form, sitting on her chest, whispering in her ear; "He died when you did. You always fought against me."

Apex's eyes widened, trying to claw and bite him to shreds; "Don't say that! H... He wouldn't... Go out so... Easily... He was... My best... Friend..." She said with one final claw slash before her body had finally, once and truly, passed away.

Fox hopped off of Apex and began chewing off her claws and eating them. Rat looked disgusted by the sight, but Fox shifted into a humanoid figure with grey hair and a human appearance. Stretching slightly, the new Fox waved to Rat. "The hell... Did you really bite off her nails, Fox?"

The figure motioned a sigh with a smirk as they sprouted a pair of Jackal ears and a long bushy grey tail that matched their short scruffy hair. "Please. It's Grey. Personal Guard of Anubiz." He bowed, his body creating a suit resembling Fox's old one, but with a black and dark green colouring.

"Yeah... Biz said something about having three guards. Guessing your Grey Jackal, right? And here I thought Biz made you up to impress me." She laughed, trying to high fiving him, which he awkwardly did.

Rat and Grey ran off to find the others, still freeing prisoners as Vex and Uma were fighting their way through the many perils of not just Decaynines but also some of the other prisoners. As Vex leapt over Uma, cutting down a few of Decaynines, Uma swung his mace around, knocking prisoners off to the sides.

"Geez, there's no end to these guys..." He grumbled, charging ahead with Vex as they tried to reach Avis and Vinea, who were basically having a dance battle with another Harpy and Demi-human duo in a bizarre turn of events.

Ven and Tika had been rushing off to break open as many cells as they could, finding it surprisingly fun as they found a weird love for the explosions and gunfire that rung out through out the building, and maybe do to this being their last mission together and Tid-bit simulating adrenaline, the two shared a long passionate kiss as the began firing off explosive shots in between portals, raining down death and love in a rather beautiful display.

"Get a room!" Vex yelled as her and Uma made their way to the next floor, where they saw a familiar set of candy caned horns. "Oh... Shit." The two mumbled in unison as the beast was feasting on the carcass of a Decaynine.
