Gearshift News: The Missing Engineer

An exert of multiple newspapers recovered from the crashed wreckage of an unidentified airship:

BREAKING: LOCAL ENGINEER GONE MISSING

Astroglen Police Department is currently asking for help in search of a missing woman. 

A local woman named Cyldra Clareglass lived a normal life as an engineer for Draco-Blood Foundry near the docks, until late last night, she suddenly disappeared without a trace. Reported missing by her roommate, who claimed Cyldra didn't make it home from her usual shift.

If you see a tall human woman with silver pink hair and freckles, please report it at the nearest Police Box. Any Information would be useful in the search.

We have gotten an interview with Miss Clareglass's family and roommate, who had this to say.

I: Who was Cyldra to you?

M: I... I am her Mother. 

B: I'm her brother.

R: Her roommate.

 I: What about Cyldra's Father?

M: He's no longer with us.

I: My apologies. 

I: Who is Cyldra?

R: She's this smart, cute, funny woman who you can't help but love no matter how much you butt heads with her. 

B: Dude, you know they're taking this all down right?

R: Don't care, I'm her boyfre-

M: Roommate. Very good roommate. 

I: Right.

I: What are your fondest memories of her?

M: When she made my late husband a get-well soon motorcycle for his last birthday. She actually learned about engineering from her father.

B: When me and her crashed dad's old motorcycle into the river. He had a heart attack when he found out... Thinking back though, I wouldn't change that day for anything.

M: You nearly killed him.

R: Oh, my fondest memory was... Probably the day I proposed to her.

(Both Cyldra's brother and mother looked stunned.)

B: Way to go dude. 

M: Over my dead ##### ### ##### #### ####### ### body! 

(Her Mother had to leave the room with her roommate, the sounds of yelling and plates could be heard smashing)

I: Last question for you, sir. What do you think happened to Cyldra?

B: Honestly, she's pretty stupid when it comes to social stuff. I reckon she ###### off the wrong person. 

(Her brother let out a slight laugh, though visible tears where in his eyes)

B: Hey... Is it cool if I say a message to my sis?

I: I suppose so.

B: Cyldra, if you can read this. Just know we love you and hope you return safe.

CRIMINAL WATCH: THE DRACONIC WITCH

The Astroglen Police Department is asking for people to beware of Astroglen's newest most wanted Criminal, Kiola S'Tears. 

Reports of entire buildings going missing have become a growing concern among residents of our fair city and the culprit has been identified. Kiola S'Tears. A well known dragon with the rare breath type of mist, she is able to alter anything her breath comes in contact with. 

She is reportedly the one who stole The Clocktower 2 months ago and has been moving up in her collection of landmarks and buildings. 

We got an exclusive interview with some of Kiola's egg clutch, though they have chosen to remain anonymous. This is what they had to say:

I: What was Kiola like when she was young?

1#: I mean... She was weird. Always had a thing for making things small, no matter the size. 

2#: Yeah, she went on and on about having an entire city in a bottle. It was weird, right?

1#: No kidding. We always figured she was just strange, even by dragon standards. But she was weirdly charming as well."

I: Why do you think Kiola is the way she is?

2#: I know this one. Basically, our entire brood would hangout together... Except her. She said that she always wanted to "Fight the powers and win", whatever that meant.

1#: She also never really liked hanging out with other dragons. 

2#: Granted, what dragons do like hanging out with other dragons?

1#: But she really didn't like other dragons. Remember the time she shrunk #######? What she did to him was...

I: What did she do to #######?

(Both dragons looked at each other, worried, for a few seconds)

1#: She... Ate him.

2#: We thought she was just playing at the time, you know? Just being young and dumb, not knowing your powers... But when she closed her maw...

(Dragon 2# seemed hesitant to continue speaking)

1#: She ####### ate him. We heard the crunch and she opened her mouth to show us... I don't know why she did it really.

2#: But no one really wanted to speak with her after that. 

BREAKING: LOCAL ENGINEER FOUND

2 weeks ago, The Astroglen Police Department put out a missing persons for one Cyldrea Clareglass. Today at 14:07, Miss Clareglass was found inside an abandoned warehouse down by 15th Eorzia street. 

She reported that the local rising criminal, Kiola S'Tears, had kidnapped her as she left her work place. When asked about why she was kidnapped, she told officers that she was forced to build a working miniature airship that worked on Dragon's mist. 

Police are currently investigating what this could mean. Could the dragon be planning something big? 

When Cyldra was questioned about Kiola herself, she had this to say:

"Kiola? Well... I-I suppose she was rather intimidating. Yet... No. She's just a brutish dragon. Nothing more. I-I'm getting married. N-Nothing c-can sway me off my life, not even some... Big, scaly beauty... In sheep's clothing, who will try and sway you to her side!"

BREAKING: KIOLA'S NEW SIDEKICK

The Astroglen Police Department is wanting to report a masked criminal who is seemingly working with the dangerous dragon in a spree of airship robberies. She has yet to be identified, yet some people believe it could have something to do with Cyldra, who had previously been kidnapped by the dragon and forced to create a toy airship.

Though her family remains adamant she had nothing to do with the recent robberies. Cyldra, along with her Mother and brother had this to say:

I: Cyldrea, are you involved in the recent spree of robberies involving the airship thefts?

M: Don't be ridiculous, she's only 19. Why would she throw her life away for someone who kidnapped her?

B: She's many things, but a thief? No.

C: I'm n-not involved in Kiola's little spree. I don't even know her...

I: So why did you cancel your engagement?

B: You did?

C: H-How do you know about that?

M: Obviously because she wants to focus more on her career. 

C: Enough. We're done.

(Our interviewer was quickly escorted off the Clareglass's estate)

BREAKING: HUMAN TURNED KOBOLD

The story over the missing engineer has captivated many of our readers, yet tonight, we have obtained a shocking video caught on a security camera. 

Cyldra Clareglass, a 21 year old human engineer who was kidnapped by the feared Mist Dragon, Kiola S'Tears, has been found out to be her accomplice in a string of airship robberies.

The Video we obtained from The Astroglen Police Department, depicts Miss Clareglass and Miss S'Tears in what appears to be an abandoned warehouse, where Miss S'Tears uses her mist to transform Miss Clareglass human into a kobold. 

The police have made a statement saying that people should not have to fear the idea of becoming a kobold by Kiola, as it has since been found out to be a voluntary action that Cyldra had taken upon herself. 

Here is the transcript of the video in question:

(Kiola S'Tears and Cyldra Clareglass are both standing inside an abandoned warehouse, talking to each other.)

K: You want to what?

C: I... I want to be with you. 

K: May I ask why the #### you'd throw away your life for me?

C: W-When we met, I didn't know what I wanted to do with myself. I want to be with you forever, no matter the cost!

(Cyldra proceeds to get closer to Kiola, holding her hands tightly.)

C: I'll do anything to be with you!

K: Sure kid. But ya gotta be this small to date me.

(Kiola puts her hand low to the ground in what seems to be a joking manner)

C: T-Then I'll let you change me however you want!

K: Why don't I turn you into a kobold?

(Kiola proceeds to laugh)

C: Okay! If it means I get to be with you!

K: Wait, you're serious about this?

C: Yes.

K: You know what, it's your life. If you want it, I'll do it. But don't ever come crying to me if you hate it. Are you extra sure you want to be a kobold for the rest of your life?

C: As long as I'm with you, it doesn't matter.

K: Alright then...

(Kiola proceeds to spew her mist of Cyldra. 10 seconds later, the mist dissipates and Cyldra is now a blue scaled kobold.)

K: Hope you like being this short, Cy... Uh.. Cyel?

C: Yeah. Cyel... S'Tears.

K: Nice. Same last name, what a coincidence.

(Kiola proceeds to laugh as Cyldra leans against Kiola's leg.)

C: Together... Forever.

(The video cuts out once Kiola realises there is a camera, which she promptly destroys.)

Cyldra's family has refused to comment on the matter. Police have issued that Cyeldra Clareglass is now considered an accomplice and will be charged with any and all crimes Kiola commits.

Let this be a lesson to people. Never throw your life away for another. 

TODAYS CRIMINALS: KIOLA AND CYEL S'TEARS

Two of the most wanted of Astroglen, the dragon captain of the Royal Fortune Airship, Kiola S'Tears and her second in command and chief engineer, Cyel S'Tears.

The two have been a thorn in The Astroglen Police Department's side for 4 years now. Continuing to amass a crew of dangerous sky pirates. Cyel has been a topic of discussion over the last few years as a well known story of bad romance.

From humble beginnings as a simple metal worker to one of the most feared women in the city, some people say it was a success story, some say it was the story of a girl throwing her life away.

But both agree, these two are now a part of Astroglen's history. Who knows where their road leads?
