And May The Best Win

"Oh Mother-" Lucy screamed as both her and Titania were pulled into the swirling vortex that had suddenly formed in front of the holographic screen. "I tried to warn you!" Vinea yelled as he watched both of them vanish into the screen.

Lucy looked around to find herself in a arid desert, akin to how her world looked outside of her city. Yet it looked false, like it was a texture placed on top of the world. When she felt the ground, the sand didn't even move. It was a confusing sight to behold, which became more confusing when she realised her outfit had changed.

Her outfit was now a sleek black militaristic captain's uniform with a hat to match, that parted her bangs to let only two of her eyes show. Lucy would be angry over the entire situation of being dragged into a video game, but even the cold hearted former demon couldn't help but feel rather powerful in her outfit.

Though her admiration for herself was quickly ruined by Titania, now looking more human then fairy, landing in front of her. "Come on, select your move set already!" The fairy queen yelled in annoyance.

"My what?"

Titania pointed behind her, showing the character select screen from Criminal Cogs. "Choose one." She growled as she selected Beth. Titania was quickly enveloped by light before dissipating to reveal a doctors outfit.

Lucy figured out the basics of this new game rather quickly and instead of choosing Pet-Kin like she normally would, she instead chose a wild pick.

"Silver Roger?" Titania questioned as Lucy became bathed in light, now holding a gigantic chained coffin behind her with a blank expression. "I did try other characters, Your Majesty."

"W-Whatever... Let's just get started." She grumbled while the screen disappeared, the two now standing under the scorching false sun. Lucy saw the vague outline of Vinea and everyone else outside the screen, figuring that they were all probably watching her fight.

With all the build up and training that Lucy had gone through, all the twenty hours of training led to this. "Be warned Demon... I won't go easy-"

*Titania VS Lucy*

"Mankind knew they could not change society, so instead of reflecting on themselves, they blamed the beasts. FIGHT.

Lucy didn't even hesitate when she leapt into the air and brought the coffin down with all her might right onto Titania's skull. She fell to the ground instantly, limp and stiff as Lucy touched down. "A-Alright, you g-got that round... But I-"

Lucy reached into the coffin and pulled out a minigun wrapped in chains, unleashing a hailstorm of lead into Titania, who was screaming in pain, barely breathing. "I... I can still move..."

"Hey, guess what?"

"W-What?"

"I win." Lucy smiled, pulling the coffin back before upper cutting Titania as hard as she could, launching her onto the screen back to the Fey Realm. Lucy stretched slightly before throwing the coffin at Titania, breaking the screen and launching her back into the throne room.

As Lucy stepped out from the fading holographic screen, her outfit returned to normal as everyone awkwardly stared at her. "Uh... Well done." Vinea said with a light clapping of his vines. Lucy gave a playful shrug as she calmly lifted up Titania's head. "Are you conscious enough for me to collect that favour, your majesty?"

The fairy could only let out a few groans, which Lucy took as a "Oh most defiantly".

As Lucy began writing her contract, Arachne had to ask; "Why did Lucy bet her life on a video game?"

"'Cause she had nothing better to do." Avis shrugged, playing a dainty tune on her guitar. Vinea let out a sigh as he checked on the remains of his console. "I knew I shoulda just made 'em play cards..."'

"We didn't really do much, did we?" Arlo whispered to Min, who gave a light wave as he snacked on a treat he found on the floor. "We don't interfere until we're asked. Plus, we ain't in fighting shape yet, are we?"

"Suppose not..."

"Now, here are the terms to my contract." Lucy said with a playful smile when she held the contract in front of the barely conscious Titania. "You will give me access to all of your abilities, powers and possessions, including any and all previous contracts you may have forged. Additionally, you agree to the fact that I can change any contract between yourself and any partners you may have."

After Lucy finished her little explanation, she handed the Queen a pen and had her sign the contract. Ethereal chains shot from Titania and bound themselves to her.

"Excellent." She mumbled, summoning Vinea's contract with Titania and going over it. "Wait... It says you have the option of leaving the fey realm at any time..."

"Oh... Yeah... Well..." He awkwardly stammered, not knowing how to respond. But Avis, Avis knew exactly what to say in the moment.

"Do... Do you mean to say WE COULD HAVE LEFT HERE AT ANYTIME WE WANTED!?"

"Yeah..."

Avis gave a playful chirp of laughter, slowly walking away. Vinea could tell she was pissed, but was currently supressing her anger... Or so he thought.

The harpy battered him over the head with her guitar, bashing away at him as he tried to defend himself. "YOU. DUMB. FUCKING. PLANT. I'M. FUCKING. BLIND. NOW. BECAUSE. OF. THIS. STUPID. PLACE."

"Nvr, help!" He called out, but Nvr was already heading for the door with Arlo and Min. Grey still watched, finding it somewhat enjoyable and as amusing as it was for Lucy, she pulled Avis off him to offer her a contract.

Avis didn't really give the contract a look over, mainly because she couldn't really glance at it, but scribbled her name down wherever Lucy put her hand. "What did I just sign?" She asked while continuing to beat at Vinea.

"Just a simple summon contract. If I need you or Vine boy, I shall simple drag you too me."

"Yeah... You coulda just offered to get me outta this hell hole. Buuut, I do have somethings I need to finish up here... Alright, summon me then." She shrugged before kicking Vinea in the chest and heading for the door.

After a bit of time helping the King and Queen recover in their bedroom, Lucy went off to find Ayre, who she found guarding the kitchen from Min. "You, elf. I have some questions." She called out, making him get flustered rather quickly. "W-What did you wanna know... Miss?"

"What exactly is Titania's Ego?" She asked with an embarrassed look.

"Oh... Uh, she just kinda... Reshapes matter to whatever she likes..."

"What?"

"Y-Yeah, if it exists, she'll mess with it. My childhood... Was pretty weird." He said with a nervous laugh while turning away slightly. Though Lucy had just hit the motherload in terms of abilities to get. While not knowing the limits of it, the power was nearly universal in her mind. But as her mind wandered, it was interrupted by Ayre asking a question.

"Hey... W-Would it be alright if I sorta... Left with you guys?"

"Why? Why would I bother with some elf?"

"Because t-this elf knows about Titania's power and has the same ability?" He said with an almost confident look in his usually timid eyes. Lucy wasn't going to argue over something so minor, so she agreed... On the condition he doesn't bring any Fey weirdness with him.

While Ayre was distracted by the excitement of getting to leave, he failed to notice that Min was already robbing the palace blind of their foods.

Eventually, everyone had gathered up to say their goodbyes to the Fey realm, standing in the middle of the forest were the portal back to the real world lay still.

People were getting rather too emotional for Lucy's taste, so she casually left through the portal and finding herself back in the forest were Kiola, Lamb and Ro were. "Huh? It hasn't even been ten seconds yet. Why are ya back?" The blue dragoness asked with a confused smirk.

"Time is an illusion there." The former Demoness said with a playful smile as she made her way over to the carriage. "Did you manage to defeat Titania?" Lamb questioned. Lucy summoned a chain and whipped the rather old carriage, using Titania's Ego ability to reshape it into a larger, more suitable looking temporary dwelling.

"You didn't answer her question." Kiola moved in next to Lucy, scuffing up her hair. "I thought the show of power answered the question?"

"Oh... I just figured you could always do that."

"Why are you like this?" Lucy grumbled as she went off to rest. After about a minute, everyone else slowly made their way out of the portal and into the carriage.

Once they hit the road again, Lucy introduced Ayre and caught the other 3 up on what had happened. "Wow... All that in ten seconds." Kiola looked awestruck, much to Lucy's annoyance.

"Well, whatever. We have a ship to collect, correct?"
