Lu Fan pulled An Xing'er to the 5th floor where he had prepared different studios and production rooms. The floor was too big for his office alone.
He was the only one using this floor and he would occasionally invite Xu Ling'er over when she needed help studying. He decided to make use of the extra room for other stuff.
There were many tools out there that could make a lot of money just by knowing how to use them. There were also tools that he had improved to make something easier and more advanced.
Something like Video Editing. The tools that were available were either too complex to use for the layman, or too simple to incorporate all the tools needed by a professional production team.
Lu Fan understood why tech companies did what they did, but that was their business; it was his business that he released a tool that could be adjusted to suit whatever level the user was comfortable with.
He did not have any plans of stepping into the tech industry, but that did not mean that he could not release tools that could be used in the entertainment industry.
Still, the main reason he did this was because of the money. These companies were making too much money and Lu Fan was feeling uncomfortable buying these tools. What was up with buying a music editing tool, only to be forced to pay for a basic synthesizer? Some plugins were just meant to be free.
And then there were these companies that sold hardware that required specific software to work properly. And of course, you still needed to buy said software. This was evil capitalism at its finest.
Since that was the case, Lu Fan decided to make his own tools. Better tool that could work perfectly even with generic and specialized hardware. He was still working on it, but he had already made a couple of tools for Music Production, Photography, and Videography.
He had yet to release these tools because of patenting, but Li Lin was on top of it. They were working wonderfully in META and Lu Fan was sure that they would be insanely popular in the market too. It was not too much to ask for a yearly subscription of a couple of yuan now, was it?
Lu Fan brought An Xing'er to the area he had dedicated to music production. He had developed this place with her in mind. She was bound to be a superstar and it wouldn't hurt to get his company's name in her portfolio. That was basically free advertisement.
"Wow, W-what's this? And this? What does that do? I saw Xiaoxiao using this to make music."
Lu Fan had barely spoken when An Xing'er started darting around like a fly. The shy girl was gone and she was now like a curious baby. And it made Lu Fan's heart beat a couple of times faster.
The equipment here was very expensive. A simple accident would cost at least some thousand yuan.
"Come, try singing so that I can show you how it works."
Lu Fan could have still shown her how things worked without her singing, but he just did it. Who wouldn't want a performance from a top-tier artist? And it was… terrible.
Her voice was good and all, but she had zero finesse. It was just like how when you sing along to a song, you might think you did great, but if you listen to the recording…
"This will take a lot of work."
Lu Fan was complaining but a smile was etched on his face. It was a good thing that An Xing'er was this bad at singing. Her golden talent might have made her what she was in his past life, but that meant that she put in an equal amount of work. Talent alone was not enough.
Now, he was going to mold her into something even better. Just with his [Teacher] talent and his ability to purchase attributes, Lu Fan was confident that he could make An Xing'er a first-class star in a month.
For her nerdy style, he would leave that to Li Lin and others. Fashion was not his forte, but there were people in META who had made that their whole thing.
Lu Fan did not see what use this department had in META. They did make money, but it was barely enough to cover their expenses. Lu Fan had to draw money from elsewhere to keep them afloat. It was a good thing that he knew the potential fashion had or he would have already shut them down.
For now, they were good for advertisements and now they could help fit An Xing'er. But before that, he needed to turn this girl into a dazzling star.
Lu Fan spent the rest of the time teaching An Xing'er things and maxing out her tags. She had so many useful tags that he was starting to get jealous. How much of a genius was this girl to get so many tags at such an age?
Li Lin had more, but most of her tags were useless to him or too girly. The useful ones were still tags and he could only help her max them out so that he could copy them.
An Xing'er only had practical tags. At least they were practical for her. Her upbringing was one factor that made it so, but she was also very aware. It was like she was preparing to be taken in by her rich family after experiencing the mortal world.
Lu Fan put aside his silly thoughts and seriously taught An Xing'er a lot of things. Mostly to get her new tags so that he could max them out to make the future learning process easier.
He only stopped when it was starting to get dark outside. It was not good to keep a girl out for so long.
"It's getting dark. Let me take you home."
