CH022

The difficulty of getting a server aside, Lu Fan was also aiming for the large test data that was flowing freely on the internet.

People were still groping around and data was still not as valued as it would soon be.

Blockchain technology was still at its nascent stage and it was still months before the source code for bitcoins was openly implemented. Lu Fan was previously tempted to contribute to the development, but he was too late.

But that did not discourage him much. All he needed was to buy some then wait a while and launch his own blockchain platform in the future. I mean Ethereum only became a thing in 2015. It would be dumb not to take advantage of such an opportunity.

The project he was planning to work on now was also a clever way of using blockchain and blockchain technology to create a rather avant-garde platform.

Lu Fan was sure that there were no platforms like this even in his prime.

It was all complicated but it was all well laid out in his mind and he could see the platform being a sensation. But that was for later.

He at least had to secure his first batch of users right now.

The exams were around the corner and students were desperate at this point. Lu Fan made it his first order of business to build a simple platform for students to use for revision.

If that was all, Lu Fan would not have thought about it. What he wanted to do was make the platform interactive and adaptable to the level of the student in real-time.

A simple profile form might look harmless, but Lu Fan could use it to determine a student's level in subjects like Languages.

Simple capitalization could tell just how much attention a student paid in basic English classes.

Just the simple presence or lack of a proper email address could show a ton of information that he was going to use to determine how intense the learning process needed to be.

These seemingly small observations affected the overall experience of a student and even their teacher.

It was useless to ask a genius simple and basic questions. It was even more destructive to ask a challenged student questions that would only make them dizzy.

And yes, Lu Fan was making the app for teachers too. The analytics alone would be enough to lessen the amount of work teachers needed to put in to help students. The platform would also generate a study plan that suited a specific student depending on the parameters and prompts input by the teachers and students.

See, machine learning and chatbots were indispensable.

As for how Lu Fan planned to make this app popular even among unrelated persons, it was of course through money.

Money could make all things possible, otherwise, it just means it is not enough.

Lu Fan would eventually make the platform into an educational community that included everybody. And to that end, he was going to start by making sure that everybody could make money on the platform.

For instance, each question answered correctly could amount to a certain amount of money for all parties involved. Or, if someone managed to conjure up a never seen before question, they would also earn.

It would also enable online tutoring. This directly links a student to their desired teacher.

With this back and forth, by the time the platform grew to form, it would be a big money machine with a myriad of transactions every second.

'It just turned into an E-commerce platform, didn't it?'

The more Lu Fan thought about it, the more this seemingly simple project became complicated. It was even more complicated than the META platform.

But it was worth it.

The sheer data that was bound to be exchanged on the platform would be enough to train AIs for years.

He had seen how those big companies created AIs through brute force. Big Data + Machine Learning = Artificial Intelligence. At least that was how he remembered it.

Of course, the whole process was complicated and impossible for a single person to achieve. It was a good thing that he was not any normal person.

His cheat aside, just his ability to teach others was enough to create a team of elites that could easily perform no worse than him. At that time he would not be alone.

But all that was too far away. It was better to concentrate on the things that he could do at the moment.

He needed to learn ALL high school subjects before he even started thinking about analytical algorithms and personalization.

His teacher tag did give him a different perspective on things. But that only applied to things he already knew.

General subjects were still alright since he had a lot of reference material, but he had to start searching for materials on some specialized subjects.

He also had to consider the curriculums used in different areas of the country and the world. Subjects taught in one part of the world were completely different. Even simple measurement units deferred.

The overwhelming amount of work would make anyone else weary, but Lu Fan did not think too much of it. A problem that could be solved with money was not a problem at all.

The only thing that was a challenge was time.

"It is time to start a Survey Platform. X-to-pay models were always effective."

Lu Fan was sure that this truth still applied even if it was going to appear earlier. He was simply going to pay people to fill in surveys and questionnaires.

This could also save him a lot of work with collecting material.

'I could also ask for help from other institutions.'

There were institutions that already had digital libraries of content and queries. If Lu Fan somehow managed to get them involved, it would honestly save him a lot of redundant work. The government was also a good option, but Lu Fan was sure that by the time he got through all the red tape, he would already have seen his entrance exam results.

"Let's just leave these troublesome things to Li Lin."
