CH034

Lu Fan returned home after making sure that everything was proceeding as intended. Li Lin was very capable and he had come to rely on her for nearly everything.

There was also Xu Ling'er assisting at the side and Lu Fan had managed to accomplish his part and everything that remained was for his projects to develop and grow as planned.

Something like the METAcademy platform no longer required his input. His programming was very advanced and he had already laid down the foundation for its growth. All that was needed was for the userbase to grow and the Machine Learning module and the Artificial and Virtual Intelligence module would do the rest.

And there was also the aspect of distributed cloud computing. With the release of bitcoins, this technology would only grow and that gave the platform enough resources to develop on its own.

Lu Fan was not worried that it would get out of control. This was the beauty of Blockchain and Blockchain Technology.

The more the platform grew, the more blocks that would be added to its chain, and by the time it even reached a point where it could pose a risk, its core programming would have already matured and it could only stick to its role obediently.

This was a technique that he had come up with after making the platform adaptable. It ensured that the platform was secure and future-proof. But this also meant that while he still had administrator privileges, once the platform entered the distributed cloud computing network, he would also have little power to change the core programming.

Some might think that it was a dumb idea to let such a powerful tool lose on the internet but Lu Fan disagreed.

There was the fact that while he would lose the power to tamper with the program, he still had the Alpha point of the blockchain in his servers. If an accident happened, he could just pull the plug and the whole thing would collapse in on itself.

The consequences would be immense, but at least there was this insurance.

The other thing was that Lu Fan had never intended to monopolize this program. The very framework of the program held the secrets of many technological techniques that would drive the world forward in terms of software and Lu Fan wanted it out there. That is why the platform even had a tutorial section on said techniques.

Once these things came to light, the platform would become something more than just an educational platform. The tuition fee aside, the more the software community developed, the more the platform developed. It was simply helping himself, taking advantage of free labor.

Lu Fan could have done it himself, but why should he?

If he wanted to be an Online Tycoon like he wanted, he needed a lot of work and resources. He indeed had the capabilities required, but he did not have much patience or determination to put in so much work.

Why on earth would he confine himself to a computer all his life just to make money that he did not have the freedom to use? Why would he suffer when it was easier to make a simulation environment that could and would do all that work for him?

There were downsides to his approach, but what of it? All he wanted was wealth and influence. As for control, just make the whole thing open-source. That was sure to light a fire under these conceited tech giants.

Charging insane amounts while they barely made much progress. Lu Fan wanted to see them scramble to keep ahead of the tech industry, especially since there was hardly much progress in the hardware sector.

As for doing all this out of the goodness of his heart… well, that would be a lie.

The thing that prompted Lu Fan to go down this path in the first place was the amount of hustle it would take to make himself an Online Tycoon.

There was too much that needed to be done and Lu Fan honestly did not have the resources required to accomplish them.

He could take it slow, but Lu Fan knew that this path only led to a boring life of work with no rest, and by the time he managed to get everything ready, he'd be in his forties quite close to fifty.

He did not want that.

Instead, wasn't it better to let others start a race? Imagine if the three tech giants had software that was pretty much on equal footing, what would they try to outdo each other on?

Hardware.

Lu Fan was willing to bet that they'd rush to dominate the market of cloud computing and pour resources into the development of Quantum Computers.

While he knew it would still take time to develop true Quantum Computers, having more people work on it wouldn't hurt.

This was especially so when he already had the basic framework of the software that Quantum Computers required.

His goal was simple. To lead the advancement of the software sector with absolute dominance while the others fought over the development of hardware. That was the true purpose of the platform.

All he needed to do now was disguise it as much as possible until it was too late for anyone to do anything about it.

That's where METAcademy came in.

The school was now just a vocational college that only taught culinary skills, but that was bound to change.

META was developing very well and Li Lin had managed to carve out a place in the entertainment industry for the company.

His ideas and approaches were avant-garde and it seemed like he was doing more of charity than a business, but it is what it is.

It was charity now, but what about in a couple of years when more than 50% of the people in the entertainment industry had something to do with META and METAcademy?

He did not need META to generate wealth for him, the stock market was his personal bank account, and what META was good for was shielding him and his motives.

Who would imagine that a young man who barely made money from his company would have such grand schemes? This was especially true when the SOP of the company was not going to change no matter how successful the company would be in the future.

Throw in the aspect that METAcademy was there to teach all that came through its doors their secrets and knowledge without holding back… and you got yourself the Messiah and the Devil under the same roof.

"These fantasies are going to be the death of me. I haven't even graduated and here I am trying to take over the world, tsk. I better review the resumes Li Lin sent over."

The hiring process was starting and he needed to select the top management for the school.
