This was the first time Ricky had actually left a place. Even in the hospital, he could leave the room, but he was still inside the hospital area. But this time, Ricky actually left the hospital.
He felt free.
But free also meant that no one was protecting him anymore.
[You must be strong, master!]
[Shouldn't be afraid of humans, just pretend they don't exist]
That's right, Ricky wasn't used to people.
The world outside was completely different, it felt foreign, dangerous, but also exciting at the same time.
At that time Ricky himself decided to go alone to the apartment that the system said was already his, even Ricky had all the complete documents of the apartment. So Ricky wanted to know if the apartment was really his or not.
He had brought all his belongings, including the uniform Ben had given him.
"What do I do now?"
[Just take the taxi that will be coming soon, you just have to wait for it here.]
Actually, Ricky was only at the bus stop which was quite close to the hospital.
But since there were a lot of people staring at him while whispering, Ricky thought he wouldn't be able to get on a bus with that many people. Ricky was terrified of being stared at by people like that.
A white taxi finally arrived in front of Ricky, and Ricky quickly got on.
"Where are you going, young man?"
Ricky mentioned the address of the apartment that he had memorized in his head.
The taxi driver nodded and drove off to the address Ricky had mentioned.
Ricky felt better now that it was just him and the friendly taxi driver.
"Are you from the hospital?" The driver asked.
Ricky nodded slowly, "yes," he muttered, not caring if the taxi driver heard him or not, Ricky just wasn't used to talking to strangers. He also felt awkward.
But in the taxi driver's mind, Ricky answered briefly because he didn't want to be disturbed.
"We've arrived at the destination, the cost is 56$." the driver said.
Ricky hurriedly got out of the taxi after handing over the 100$ to the taxi driver. Ricky didn't say anything and wanted to find his apartment and lie down there.
Meanwhile, the taxi driver was very confused because Ricky gave him more money than he should have.
"Looks like he's rich," the taxi driver said, still staring at Ricky as he walked into the apartment building.
The driver smiled, he was lucky to have gotten the extra money.
"I can finally buy good food for my wife and son, thank you, handsome sir," the taxi driver said before walking away.
Ricky stood in front of a woman who confronted him as soon as he entered the apartment.
"Who are you, what do you need here?" the woman asked.
"Are you in charge here?" Asked Ricky, he was already nervous about being asked such a question, even though Ricky had just entered the building.
"Well, you could say that, what's your name and quickly tell me what you need here, I can't just let suspicious people in, because this is a luxury apartment."
Ricky raised one eyebrow, surprised that the woman was saying that he was a suspicious person.
"So you think I'm suspicious?" Ricky asked.
The woman chuckled lazily, "Just look at this appearance of yours! You're so skinny, with white hair, a gaunt face, and these branded clothes that look like they're fake. No matter where you look, you look more like a drug-addicted patient."
Ricky was speechless, he just realized that people looked at him like a drug addict. But since he was like that because of the strange poisons, maybe she was right.
"You can't talk like that when you don't know who he is!"
A beautiful girl came in, she was wearing clothes that were obviously very expensive, she was very pretty and looked a bit bitchy. Ricky was a bit scared to look at her, but she was so beautiful that he couldn't take his eyes off her.
"Hey, who are you?" the girl asked, still with an unfriendly expression, but her actions were very kind. Ricky was confused by the girl.
"I'm Ricky, want to go to my apartment."
The girl turned to the annoying woman blocking Ricky, "looks like he has an apartment here," said the girl.
"But Miss Ella, he's maybe just lying, he could be tricking us into stealing!"
The girl called Miss Ella rolled her eyes lazily, "Just check the documents, they're fake or not, no need to make a scene in my apartment building. Just because he doesn't look convincing, it doesn't mean he's suspicious."
"Sorry Miss Ella."
Ella turned back to Ricky, "Hey, where's the document?"
Ricky retrieved the documents he had kept in the suitcase he had been carrying, and gave them to Ella.
The woman who suspected Ricky now looked worried.
"Look at this, all the documents are genuine, next time work properly! No need to make a scene or I'll fire you right now, you- come with me, I'll take you to your apartment."
Ella returned Ricky's documents, then drove him to his apartment.
There was no conversation on the way, as Ricky was nervous about strangers, so he avoided looking at Ella.
They only started talking when they arrived at Ricky's apartment.
"Your name is Ricky, right? I own this apartment building, thank you for buying my apartment, if you have any complaints, you can tell me," Ella gave Ricky her business card.
Ricky accepted it and Ella left.
"She's a strange girl," Ricky muttered, before opening his apartment with the key he had gotten.
After the door opened, Ricky gawked at the contents of the apartment which were beyond his expectations.
The apartment was fully furnished, so there were already various items there and neatly arranged. Everything was luxurious, comfortable and clean.
"Is this really mine?" Ricky muttered.
[You still don't believe it when you've proven it yourself?]
Ricky wandered around the apartment feeling happy. There was one master suite and two smaller ones, five bathrooms, a kitchen, a dining room, a living room and a large balcony.
The view from the balcony was beautiful, from there Ricky could see the vast city, and even the beach in the distance.
"Oh, there's a beach nearby, I want to go there!" Ricky said.
Of course, it had been a long time since Ricky had gone to the beach. He used to go to the beach with his neighbors, to fish, or look for shells.
Going to the beach was fun. There's white sand, beautiful shells, waves that are sometimes big and sometimes small, and boats sailing in the distance.
[You can go there if you want]
[But there's a mission you have to complete]
Ricky frowned, "mission?"
[Right!]
Then a set of fishing clothes appeared, complete with all the fishing gear.
[It's octopus season, get an octopus, then make it into a dish]
[Get octopus.1]
[Make a dish with octopus.2]
What kind of mission is this? Ricky just got out of the hell cave, healed too and now has to fish for octopus?
But fishing for octopus is pretty easy, "alright, I'll try, but if I fail, will I get punished?" Asked Ricky.
[Because you've just recovered and just got out of the hospital, so there's no punishment]
"Thank goodness, then I accept the mission," said Ricky, actually he was just excited because he was going to the beach.
