The Trickery masters ( II )

" We weave tales like tapestries, deception is our thread "

Chapter # 11

Adeline gathered the dishes and placed them in the sink, following his instructions. She then went outside and sat beside him in the car.

He glanced at her, but as their eyes met, Edward quickly looked away. "So, is everything ready?" She began the conversation because they don't bring the personal conflicts between the work.

" Yeah.I will block the CCTV cameras around the clinic so that no one can notice our arrival and we can escape from there easily. But You also have to create a situation that makes you leave the clinic with money easily without being suspect." After buckling up the seat belt he said.

"Don't worry about that, I will get out of there easily," She paused and looked at him "with money." She said, showing him her mischievous grin. Her mischievous grin was enough for him to believe her words. If she said she would do this, she would because she is the woman of her word.

" Got it! I'll park my car in the back alley, okay ?? "

" Hmm " Adeline hummed in response

He ignited the engine and drove off to their destination.

After thirty five minutes of driving, their car was parked in the back alley of the clinic. He kept the laptop on his lap and gazed at her " Adeline, I'm connected to you and waiting here for you. Go and bring all the money out " He said and stared at her face without blinking.

Adeline nodded and opened the car's door. "Adiee" just when she stepped out of the car he called her . Adeline looked at him with questioning eyes. At first Edward silently watched her face then said " Take care of yourself Adiee. You are also the only person in my life whom I care about the most " His words were so soft that it washed the ashes of their heated argument.

Adeline gave him a big smile and nod then she shut the door and walked away from there. Her eagle eyes were scanning her surroundings.

Dayylam private clinic was painted entirely in white. Inside, the clinic walls were adorned with posters detailing medical care and safety precautions. Upon entering the clinic, patients were greeted by a spacious reception desk and a comfortable waiting area, situated on the right side of the ground floor.

On the left side of the ground floor was a store room, which housed the medical supplies and equipment necessary for patient care. Adjacent to the store room was a dressing room, where patients could change into hospital gowns before undergoing medical procedures.

The upper floor of the clinic featured an operating theater (OT) room and three ward rooms, where patients could rest and recuperate after surgery. For some reason Danielle shifted her office to the ground floor. Dayylam and his wife use the OT and ward rooms to provide medical treatment to criminals.

This was a clear violation of medical ethics, as the clinic was intended to provide legitimate medical care to patients in need. Despite the clinic's professional appearance and well-equipped facilities, Dayylam's actions were both unethical and illegal.

As Adeline entered the hospital, a nurse stormed towards her in anger. "Kara, you're late for the second time today! Dr Danielle is extremely furious and wants to see you in her office right away," the nurse snapped urgently.

As the nurse hurriedly relayed Dr. Danielle's message, Adeline felt a twinge of annoyance, but she quickly pushed it aside. 'be angry as much as you want to be, today is my last day here anyway,' she thought to herself, taking comfort in the knowledge that she would soon leave this job behind with money, today is her last day of this oppressed lady-trap.

Although the words hinted at trouble, Adeline kept herself calm and unaffected. She knew that Dr Danielle would be angry with her, so she confidently made her way to the doctor's office, believing she could handle the situation.

With a deep breath, she softly knocked on Dr. Danielle's door.

"Come in," a sharp female voice called from inside, as if Dr. Danielle already knew who was at the door. Adeline put on her most innocent expression and pushed the door open.

The door creaked as Adeline pushed it open, revealing Dr. Danielle's austere office. The walls were lined with diplomas and certificates, and the air was heavy with the scent of antiseptic. Adeline stepped inside and made her way to the doctor's desk, where Dr. Danielle sat with her chin held high and stood before her, meeting the doctor's gaze.

"You're late for the second time today. The last time you were late, I warned you not to be late again. Didn't I tell you that I don't tolerate tardiness?" Dr Danielle's voice was slow and measured, each word carefully enunciated.

Dr Danielle fixed Adeline with a stern stare, her lips pursed in disapproval. " Dayylam hires strange people out of compassion, who neither know the importance of work nor punctuality," she muttered, clearly irked by Kara's tardiness.

Adeline felt a wave of frustration wash over her, but she maintained her calm exterior. 'I know the importance of punctuality better than you,' she thought to herself, 'it's just that sleep doesn't let me get up early.'

"I'm sorry, doctor, for being late. Actually, I was quite busy as I had some special guest last night. " She blushed slightly which Denielle noticed . " That's why I was very tired last night, and had a hard time sleeping," she explained putting the alternate meaning behind her words, and made her tone apologetic "I apologize for my mistake, Dr Danielle. Kindly ignore my tardiness for this one time." She said, a subtle smile adorning his lips.

Dr. Danielle's expression softened slightly, and she let out a small sigh. "Very well!! But next time, kindly request your special guest to plan their visit during holidays as you'll be on duty the following day." she said, her voice still tinged with annoyance. "And make sure to be punctual in the future. We have a busy schedule to maintain here."

Adeline nodded " Thank you Doctor " She said and exhaled a breath of relief, relieved that the lecture was over. As she turned to leave the room, she caught a glimpse of Dr. Danielle face which was lightning up with the happiness

"Probably because of the money. Money has a way of bringing happiness to people's faces. I don't know who the fool is that says money can't buy happiness," she thought to herself, stepping out of the room. As a nurse, she had some work to do.

A few hours later, Adeline found herself in the restroom, making a phone call to Edward. "Dee-Dee, I'm going to get the money from her locker. My plan is going fine so far. The excuse I gave for being late should make her think I was making out with someone last night. My excuse seemed to work," she said in a hushed voice while checking her surroundings. "But we have to be prepared for any problems that might come."

Edward responded quickly. "Don't worry, Adiee, I'm all set to go. Just make sure to be careful and stay out of trouble."

Adeline nodded. " Yeah I'll be careful and make sure everything goes smoothly."

She silently came out from the restroom and headed towards the Dr. Danielle office as Danielle was in OPD room and money was in her office. It was a right time for her to bring out the money. As she reached near the door she heard the familiar male voice. It was a Dayylam's voice, she recognized his voice in a brief moment.

He was talking to someone, she slightly peaked inside the room and found Danielle with him. She watched the time on her wristwatch 'Oh hell! It's already tea time. I'm 30 seconds late '. She cursed under her breath.

She was about to leave when their voices fell in her ears " Daylam, today we are going to get all the money we have saved for the last eleven months. We will leave this country and open our big clinic in Mexico ." Her voice was filled with excitement.

Adeline was surprised by what she heard. She quietly left from there, her mind filled with the thoughts about what she just heard.

Adeline hid beside the wall and asked Edward, "Did you hear?" He kept the call active since this was the time to execute their plan. " I cannot delay this trap, Edward."

" It's Okay calm down, I have a friend who is a policeman. Through him I had secretly conveyed the news to the police that a member of the brown mafia would be here for treatment So that when both husband and wife would be busy with the police, you can come out easily.it was a part of my back-up plan and i think we need it . Police station is nineteen minutes away from here. It's been two minutes. We have to wait seventeen minutes more " He explained to her

" perfect " She replied with one word

" Yeah, but we have to be more careful under the presence of police. " Edward reminded her.

" Don't worry about that I'll handle this " Adeline responded
