5th Birthday

Since the book was already in a bad shape Kai couldn't continue reading it, after closing the book he began to go over the knowledge he had just recieved from the book.

' If training is impossible before the age of twelve then this must be why I was unable to absorb those energy particles in the beginning, since I wasn't supposed to do that so the entity who created the world rules must have made it like this, as it would not want an anamoly in the system created by it, but to form an energy centre I would have to wait till I reach twelve? '

Kai thought and also wondered whether he would be a martial artist or a mage.

' Maybe since I'm following mommy's method then I'll also become a martial artist but I have mixed the beast's absorbing technique in it too, ugh it's no use thinking about that now, let's just focus on the present, I wonder how my fifth birthday will go this time? ' he thought and began to train.

He trained for more than three hours until he felt exhausted and then his the book back into the bushes, he returned back into the house and slept peacefully.

Just like that few more days passed without anything out of the ordinary happening, and then it was finally the time of Kai's fifth birthday.

As he had promised, Ron had returned before Kai's birthday and even brought many gifts along with him.

In the morning, when Kai woke up completely refreshed, he was surprised to see that the room was decorated, while Emily and Ron were waiting for him, as they both wished him at the same time.

" Happy Birthday my little Leo, I can't believe that you are already five years old. " Emily said as she hugged Kai, and then gave him some presents.

" Happy birthday Leo, may you become even more handsome than me in the future and have a wife who is as good as your mother. " Ron also wished and passed gifts to Kai.

" Thank you mummy and dad, I'm going to open all the presents now. " Saying that he began to open one gift after another, he had received many things varying from toys to snacks and even books.

Nonetheless, he loved them all, after freshening up Kai discovered that today Ron had prepared a special menu that consisted of dishes that he had never even heard about.

The atmosphere in the house was joyous and over the entire day, Kai received many surprises, most of which he liked but his father went out of his way to buy an expensive looking golden knife, which was a gift for Kai in name only since Ron seemed to love that knife.

When the day ended, Kai as usual returned to his daily timetable for training, without the interference of any rich families especially Rojas in the Arom village, the life was extremely peaceful.

Time passed slowly, with the achievement of the Pseudo Martial Body, Kai was improving like never before, though he still couldn't figure out a way to form an energy centre or the organ called Dantain.

After some practice, he was even able to launch sound attacks from his throat but the range was only around 2 meters, though it was still a good trick to take an opponent off guard.

While he kept absorbing energy and refining his body, he also tried to learn of ways to use this energy in different applications for offence, increasing his speed or strength momentarily.

Although he wanted to enter the forest and check out the unknown regions, but he knew that going there without any preparation would be nothing short of suicide, so he stayed patient and trained as hard as he could, but to achieve all this he didn't stop spending time with his parents.

He still talked a lot with Emily while Ron brought all kinds of things from outside for him, after Kai's birth, he had been working harder than ever, but money wasn't their only concern, Ron also had to make sure that they weren't found by Emily's family.

Although it was hard to control the 'Essense' at first, but now Kai could almost freely use it, and since he was able to know how beasts used this energy, his body was being refined at a constant rate even though it was not as good as the body training techniques from his previous life but this was the best he could do for now, not to mention that children of his age can't train at all using 'Essense'.

He read the book a couple more times and after he felt that he had understood everything mentioned in it, he threw the book away into the forest when no one was watching him at night while hiding from the guards.

The number of blazing monkeys coming to attack the village kept increasing over time, it was almost like a pattern that they were following, so a few more guards were stationed there by the branch family, making the number to twenty two.

Aside from the increase in the number of guards, the people from outside usually mercenaries or hunters, began to come into the Arom village quite often to hunt the blazing monkeys.

Since there was a rumour going around that there was a 1st Order beast inside the forest, although it was not confirmed but based on the movements of the beasts, many people concluded this.

But the lives of all the people in Arom village kept moving without much change, because of the increase in the number of people there none of them felt threatened by the presence of a 1st Order demon.
