You Leave Me No Choice

"Sign an undertaking? About what?"

"That you will not fall in love with any man for as long as you're still Charles's nanny and will never leave him until he is emotionally stable enough to live happily without you," Jace said and went to his drawer, brought out a document and dropped it on the table.

Grace stood in stunned silence, her heart pounding. She couldn't believe what Jace had just proposed.

Neither did she need to guess the content of the document. He had obviously been prepared before now and was waiting for the right opportunity.

The absurdity of the whole thing was almost laughable, but the stern look on Jace's face and the document before her told her he was deadly serious

"Sir, this is ridiculous," Grace finally managed to say, her voice trembling. "You can't expect me to sign something like that. It's... it's controlling and unfair. Besides, the matters of the heart is not something anyone can have complete control over."
