Hearing what the old man said, Grace felt uneasy and glanced apprehensively in Richard and Rose's direction, obviously soliciting for their help. 

If it wasn't to ask her of her relationship with Jace which she presumed he must already know and order her to leave his granddaughter's husband's side now that he believed she was alive, what else could a man of Sir Washington's status want to discuss with a nonentity like her?

With a reassuring smile, Rose gestured for Grace to sit beside her again. "Mr Fitz, have the servants prepare some refreshments for everyone," she instructed and as a result the tension in the room eased considerably.

As the room settled, Grace couldn't shake off the feeling that Sir Washington's request was quite suspicious and from the subtle frown on Richard's face, she knew she wasn't the only one that thought so.
