"Um."
Thinking of the scene that might happen next, Karuizawa Megumi himself was a little disappointed, but he quickly regained his composure.
[When the little mermaid finally waited for her fifteenth birthday and excitedly raised her head out of the sea, the sun had already set, but all the clouds were still shining like roses and gold; at the same time, , in the pale red sky, Taibai Star is already blinking beautifully and brightly.
The air is mild and fresh. There is a large ship with three masts parked on the calm sea.
There is music and singing in the air. The sky is getting darker and darker, and all kinds of lanterns are lit up together.
The little mermaid swam toward the cabin window. Whenever the waves lifted her up, she could see through the window glass that was as bright as a mirror. The most beautiful among the crowd was the prince with dark charming eyes; he was only sixteen years old. Today is his birthday, and it is precisely for this reason that today is so lively.
When the prince came out, more than a hundred rockets were shot into the sky. They shone like daylight, so that the little mermaid was so frightened that she quickly sank to the bottom of the water. But after a while, she stuck her head out again - and then she felt as if all the stars in the sky were falling on her. She had never seen fireworks like this.
Many huge suns made sizzling sounds all around, and dazzling fire fish leaped into the blue sky, all of which were reflected on the clear and calm sea.
The night was already deep; but the little mermaid could not take her eyes away from the ship and the beautiful prince.
She is the best singer among the sisters.
She didn't know whether the other party could hear her, but the little mermaid wanted to sing a song for this beautiful human being in the dead of night.
A mermaid's song needs no lyrics.
They are natural singers, and the little mermaid's singing is particularly beautiful.
Her song spread from the sea to the sky. In the silent night, on the deep blue sea, under the bright starlight, the little mermaid sang for the prince.
Everyone was mesmerized. In the ethereal and profound singing, the prince seemed to be able to hear the feelings of admiration. He subconsciously wanted to ask the captain next to him...
"His Royal Highness Prince."
But the old captain beside him shook his head in panic. His strong and powerful body was even trembling slightly, as if he was afraid:
"This is the song of the mermaid. Once these sirens sing..."
"It will cause a storm!"
His voice was shrill with fear, and before the prince could react, the old captain had already ordered his sailors to get ready.
So the colorful lanterns went out, the rockets stopped shooting into the air, the sound of the cannon stopped, and the prince was escorted back to the cabin.
The little mermaid waggled her tail in confusion and approached the boat. She didn't know this big guy. She just wanted to know where the prince had gone.
As if by fate, a humming and rumbling sound sounded in the depths of the sea.
The little mermaid sat on the water, floating up and down. She was the daughter of the sea, and she was never afraid of the sea. Through the rising and falling waves, she could see the contents of the cabin.
But the ship speeded up; the sails on the ship were all unfurled one after another.
The waves grew bigger, heavy dark clouds floated, and lightning struck in the distance.
Ah, the terrible storm is coming!
The sailors therefore lowered their sails, and the experienced old captain cursed the sea monster while directing the navigation of the ship.
In this violent sea, the ship swayed forward rapidly. The waves rose like huge black mountains, as if they would break the mast in the next second. But like a swan, the boat plunged into the waves for a while, and then raised its head on the high waves.
The little mermaid didn't know what was happening. The waves were just an ordinary sight to the daughter of the sea, so she continued to sing amidst the undulating waves.
Every high note she hits seems to set off turbulent waves.
The ship made a splintering sound now; its thick planks were bent by the incoming waves. The mast was broken in the middle like a reed. Later, the boat began to list and water poured into the cabin.
The little mermaid saw him as the ship split apart and sank deeper into the sea.
She immediately became very happy that he was now coming to her. But she also remembered that humans cannot live in water. Unless they become dead, they will never be able to enter the bottom of the sea.
The little mermaid wants to save him.
She didn't want to watch him die in front of her, even if she didn't know why she had such thoughts. ]
"Pfft, cough, help, help!"
As if he is really drowning in the boundless sea, Kitagawa Ryo's tone is full of helplessness and fear of death, and he is easily controlling the character named "Prince".
"Please, please hold me tight."
Hiyori Shiina stuttered a little while reciting her lines, and the gap in her acting skills was almost clear at a glance.
But she still performed hard.
Karuizawa Megumi watched the two people's performance, she pursed her lips and told herself that this was just a performance on the stage.
As if desperately trying to grasp the last straw, the little mermaid and the prince embraced each other in the dark sea.
Like nothing she had ever seen before.
ps: Why are you just watching, Megumi-senpai!
ps2: "The Daughter of the Sea" does not have a drama version. It is my own adaptation. You don't have to worry about my writing being biased. The drama content will not account for too much. It mainly describes some of the plots of Karuizawa Megumi and Shiina Hiyori. It sets the stage for an important plot later.
ps3: Thank you for reading and subscribing. Class will start tomorrow.
Main plot: Kitagawa Ryo's strength supremacy classroom: Chapter 6: Spring came a little earlier this year
"Drama conflict refers to the emergence, development and ending of contradictions in dramas. The plots of most dramas basically revolve around one or more conflicts."
"This is also shown in many other types of literary works. For example, in Shiina's favorite mystery novels, there is a conflict between the detective and the murderer between seeking the truth and concealing the truth, and the story unfolds based on this."
During the spare time during practice, Kitagawa Ryo also took the opportunity to explain some basic concepts to the two of them.
Shiina Hiyori tilted her head in confusion. She and Kitagawa Ryo had only known each other for two days, and she didn't remember telling him that she liked mystery novels before. However, she didn't think much about it, and the other party didn't say anything anyway. Wrong, so he nodded in agreement.
"Then the dramatic conflict in the original work of "The Daughter of the Sea" is that the little mermaid obviously saved the prince, but because she sacrificed her voice to the witch, she was unable to tell the truth and could only watch the prince and the princess together, right? "
Karuizawa Megumi, who was sitting cross-legged on the other side, quickly drew inferences and said.
"Yes, this is also a common method of dramatic conflict."
Kitagawa Ryo said while writing something with an oil-based pen on the whiteboard in front of him:
"The more common methods are these three."
He knocked on the whiteboard:
[1. Let the audience know some secrets that the characters in the play do not know. ]
[2. Make the audience feel that the character is on the wrong path. ]
[3. Set the sense of closeness of time. ]
"As a classic fairy tale, "The Daughter of the Sea" basically complies with these three laws."
"In fact, Master Andersen, as the most famous master of fairy tales in the world, has also set many small settings in the entire work that are worthy of careful consideration."
Even in the category of fairy tales, "The Daughter of the Sea" is definitely not long. The two of them listened to Kitagawa Ryo and quickly read the original text again. Shiina Hiyori, who had read more, took the lead in having his own the opinion of:
"It's tears."
She pointed to a certain passage and said:
"[One night, when the sisters emerged from the sea arm in arm like this, the youngest sister stayed alone behind and looked at them. It looked as if she was about to cry, but mermaids have no tears. , so she felt even more uncomfortable]"
"Mermaids have no tears. This is a setting mentioned in the first few paragraphs."
"Genius writers never set up useless foreshadowing in their books. The twenty rules of mystery novels also mention that evidence must appear in previous chapters."
Shiina Hiyori bit her pen and expressed her views bit by bit.
She really enjoyed the atmosphere of discussing books with others, which was something she had never experienced before.
"I remember that in Chinese mythology, mermaids can shed tears, and tears have incredible magical power."
"right."
Kitagawa Ryo took over Shiina Hiyori's words and continued. Because his own name was taken from a Chinese Tang poem, he was quite knowledgeable in this aspect:
"In Chinese myths about mermaids, there is a record of 'There are sharks outside the South China Sea, they live in the water like fish, and they do not waste their weaving. When their eyes weep, they can produce pearls.' The poet Li Shangyin of the Tang Dynasty also wrote, 'The moon in the sea' The poem "Pearls Have Tears"."
"So why does "The Daughter of the Sea" specifically point out that mermaids don't shed tears?"
Because the conversation between the two touched upon Karuizawa Megumi's knowledge blind spot, she was unable to participate in the topic and honestly raised her own questions.
"I think sometimes it's more sad not to cry than to cry."
"You see, the little mermaid still couldn't cry until the end when she turned into bubbles and disappeared into the sunlight."
Hiyori Shiina closed the script and put it against her chest. She closed her eyes gently:
"Crying is the most direct way to express your sadness."
Although there is a saying about crying with joy, most of the time, laughter is associated with happiness and crying with sadness.
"Every step the Little Mermaid takes is like stepping on the edge of a knife, but she still dances for the prince."
"When the prince was about to marry the princess, when she held the bride's wedding dress at the princess's wedding, when she finally jumped into the sea and turned into foam, she cried when she should have cried heartily. Don't come out."
Shiina Hiyori separated the original paragraphs one by one and searched for the original author's thoughts.
When Andersen constructed the story "The Daughter of the Sea", he was bold and imaginative in his description of the scenery, and all kinds of magnificent scenes were almost at his fingertips. However, in his description of emotions, he was implicit and imaginative. Many places are just a click away.
"And the fact that the little mermaid can't speak or cry is also a foreshadowing to advance the plot."
"An important element of tragedy is misunderstanding."
Dramatic conflicts arise because of misunderstandings. Only in conflicts can the different points in people's personalities be revealed and the story can continue to develop.
"Obviously it was the little mermaid who saved the prince, but she had no way of telling him this fact."
"She won't cry. She will always be happy in front of the prince and always dance for him, so the prince doesn't care about her thoughts at all."
"Although it is just a small setting, it fully pave the way for the final tragedy."
Shiina Hiyori exhaled a small breath:
"Really, really awesome."
Hiyori Shiina seemed to be deeply immersed in Andersen's whimsical thoughts. When she opened her eyes again, her dark purple pupils were shining, as if she had made some important decision:
"I want to change the script."
Expressing his thoughts excitedly in one breath, Shiina Hiyori turned over the original script in his hand and introduced:
"In Greek mythology, the sirens sometimes acted as mermaids and used their songs to seduce passing sailors, causing their ships to eventually sink. In fact, there is also such a passage in "The Daughter of the Sea":
"[At dusk, the five sisters often float up hand in hand and line up on the sea. They sing beautiful songs-more beautiful than any human voice. When a storm is coming, they think some ships are about to crash. When they arrived, they floated in front of these ships and sang very beautiful songs, saying how lovely the bottom of the sea was, and at the same time telling the sailors not to be afraid of sinking to the bottom of the sea; however, those people could not understand their lyrics.]"
Kitagawa Ryo was the first to understand what Shiina Hiyori meant, and he motioned for Hiyori to continue:
"It's like it rained the next day after a rain festival was held, so we came to the conclusion that it rained because of the rain festival. There is a certain event first, and then we look for what happened before, and then imagine two things The causal relationship between things. This is human wisdom and karma. Human beings are creatures who need to find out the causal relationship in order to feel at ease."
With Kitagawa Ryo's approval, Hiyori Shiina also stood up and wrote a few keywords on the whiteboard with an oil-based pen.
"The mermaids in the sea will sing for the sinking ships when the storm is coming. Their original intention is to comfort these poor sailors not to be afraid of sinking to the bottom of the sea, because in their view, the bottom of the sea is a lovely home."
"But in the eyes of those sailors."
"Could it be the singing of these mermaids that brought disasters and storms?"
Karuizawa Megumi finally understood Hiyori Shiina's thoughts, and she subconsciously asked:
"You mean the prince's shipwreck..."
"Um."
"The little mermaid sang for the prince she fell in love with at first sight, but that night the prince happened to be shipwrecked."
"Combined with the legends of the previous sisters, the prince will most likely think that the siren's singing caused the disaster."
"But in fact, this has nothing to do with the little mermaid. On the contrary, she is the real savior of the prince."
She looked quite excited, and two blushes appeared on Shiina Hiyori's cheeks.
"Standing stubbornly on a false truth is more tragic than not knowing the truth from beginning to end."
"He regards his true benefactor and the object of his pursuit as his enemy, but he is sincere towards the counterfeit. He doesn't even know until the end the huge sacrifice someone has made for him."
"...marvelous."
Kitagawa Ryo finally understood why Shiina Hiyori's social life had gone nowhere before high school. After all, children wouldn't discuss such strange world developments.
In a sense, the idea of a literary girl is indeed elusive.
Look, Karuizawa Megumi on the side is also completely incomprehensible...
"When did the princess become an impostor?"
