Scarlet smiled, but not because she was going to accept his offer. She moved from straddling Ian and sat beside him. "Please get dressed for dinner. I will leave you to do it in private."

"Scarlet," Ian called, frustrated that she would leave him like this. "Do not leave."

"You cannot always get what you want," Scarlet said, being quick to stand so he could not hold her hand. She turned to enjoy the sight of him lying annoyed that she was leaving him.

Once in a while, Ian deserved to be teased.

"I will not make you any tea," Ian threatened.

Scarlet laughed as it was one of the most childish threats she had ever received. "Oh, what a threat. I don't know what I would do without tea. It is not like there are other things for me to drink in the estate. Stop bothering me, Ian. You won't like it when I get back at you."

Scarlet opened the door and walked out. He had to think twice about his little games from now on.
