Warm Figure

Continuation

Matteo looked up in shock as he saw that someone had accidentally bumped into his chair, causing him to almost fall off. Suddenly the lady started apologising in a worried manner because she spilled her drinks on Matteo's white shirt. Matteo flinched as the moment was very sudden.

The lady started apologising immediately after she saw that the drinks were spilt all over Matteo making his white shirt all tainted.

"Oh my- I'm sorry mister... oh my god what did I do," exclaimed the young lady in an apologetic manner without looking at Matteo's face.

"It's okay- Sol it's you!?", replied Matteo with a shocked expression when he realised the young lady was none other than Sol. His mind was trying to process the situation while he recognised the voice without thinking twice. She stared at him with a nervous expression, clearly apologetic for the blunder still she had a spark of happiness in her eyes for meeting someone whom she met online.

"oh my, wtf I can't believe it haha what is this situation, I knew you were from another city but meeting like this is a pure coincidence", said Sol in pure joy while she also took the handkerchief from her bag and offered it to Matteo. Meanwhile, Romi was on her phone, unbothered during the whole time.

As Matteo gladly accepted the handkerchief, he dabbed it at the parts which were slightly stained. Though it didn't repair any damage which was done to the white shirt, it eased the situation. Matteo and Sol both shared the same excitement and after a while, they decided to sit down and eat together after she introduced Romi and Matteo to each other.

"Lead the way Sol since this place is ruined a bit", said Matteo with a warm gesture. Sol and Romi walked towards the empty seats, with Matteo following quietly behind her, his mind racing with thoughts about how this unexpected encounter might turn out. Romi stayed quiet the whole time after Matteo and she exchanged hellos.

They continued to eat in silence for a moment before Sol decided to break the silence Romi didn't bother at all because that was her usual self and by then even Matteo was familiar with her behaviour. "So," she began, her tone friendly. "What made you decide to come to this restaurant?"

Matteo took a deep breath before answering, "I just wanted a change of scenery, you know? I've been feeling pretty down lately and thought that getting out of the house might help."

Sol nodded, understanding what he meant. "I get it," she said, "Sometimes it's good to escape from everything for a while."

They continued to talk, sharing stories and jokes over their food, and Matteo couldn't help but feel a sense of relief at the lightness of their conversation still he was feeling guilty about what he did last night without letting Sol know.

They continued for a while and decided to depart their ways making sure they would meet again. The whole time Matteo couldn't hide the fact that he was mesmerised and extremely devoted to the whole conversation which made him a warm figure in a Sol's eyes.
