Chapter 64 - Svelte

Argo stood at by the door of the church, watching the battle unfold. 

"What-? What's going on? Why are they fighting? What happened?" Eida stood beside him peeking out of the window, watching with curiosity rather than horror.

He couldn't help but remember that she was a Lady of the South, through and through.

Only a lady from there would look at the carnage slowly unfolding before their eyes, and be more curious as to how it started, than startled by the bloodshed itself.

"I would recommend that you stay away from the windows, Young Lady. Or a stray arrow may find it's mark," Father Marcus kept an unreadable expression on his face as he said a short prayer, "Unless that mask is arrow proof, I suggest you make your choice quickly."

Argo glanced out of the side windows, where those Cloaks who were still there, and had kept hidden from the White Stream, were lurking preparing to enter.
