Inner Demon

Five days have passed since Asari transmigrated into a strange world of night creatures. She hasn't met any human and she's still trying to adapt to the new environment.

The man she could term her master has been treating her like his lover though she still didn't trust him. The two have never shared a bed since the last time she discovered her monster was a vampire.

Standing at the balcony, Asari gazed at the sky covering the moon. Now that she thought about it, at the banquet she felt strange. Strange feelings like, rage, hate and desire to revenge. At that moment she felt like killing everyone at the banquet.

Most strangely was the strong scent of blood that wafted in her nose that made her want to puke. The people in the banquet felt disgusting, like she gave no shit about humanity. However, Renzo's presence somehow brought her comfort.

'What was that?' she thought inwardly but none could give her the answers she wanted.

She sighed heavily, nothing bad had so far happened to her since she exited that dark place. However, how long will the peace last before the storm, only time will tell.

Barely had she left the balcony for her room when a knock barraged her door.

She swiftly headed to the door and opened it. A pair of deep black eyes captured hers. For a moment she found herself looking into them. They were an endless pool of dangerous secrets awaiting to be unveiled. Somehow Asari felt he was like her…

"Ahem! May I come in?" Came his voice, bringing the dazzled Asari back to reality.

She opened the door wider, summoning him to get in. Renzo entered the room and sat on a chair that was a centimeter away from the king sized bed. While Asari stood at the door.

"Please sit on the bed," Renzo said. Asari, like an obedient kid did as she was told.

Renzo found her act cute and smiled to himself but didn't say anything. A brief silence occupied the room as everyone slipped into their thoughts.

"How are you feeling now?" Renzo asked, breaking the silence.

Asari raised her eyes to meet his and nodded, "I am ok…"

Another awkward silence followed as both had no words to say and at this moment Asari made up her mind asked what bothered her.

"Do we have a master-slave relationship?"

Renzo was caught off guard by the her sudden question. She'd been with her for five days but he hadn't regarded all this. For a moment he had no answer to give. Met with an anticipating gaze from her, Renzo knew he had to give an answer.

"I don't see you as a slave," he said a gentle tone.

Asari's heart began thumping from his answer. She didn't know the reason but she was glad he didn't see him as a slave. Though she's never seen slaves but she had an idea of how mistreated slaves were. Though she still had other questions in mind, she had no courage to ask him.

She was still wary of him and she didn't want to expect much from him. However, she had no idea that she'd subconsciously began trusting him bit by bit. Renzo watched Asari as she got lost in her thoughts. He had to admit that she was the most beautiful female he'd ever met.

Whether the investigation turns out she wasn't the one, he still won't let her go. He made a mental note to start let her know of his feelings which he'd hidden for a long time.

"By the way I am sorry, my name's Renzo Savier," Asari had him say.

Asari nodded her head and replied in a formal tone, "Pleasure knowing you."

Renzo smiled subtly from her reply. Deep down he knew she didn't trust him after all he was being vague. It made sense afterall who'd trust a stranger?

Renzo decided it was enough talk for today as he stood up to leave the room. Heading towards the door, Renzo bid her goodnight, "Have a goodnight."

"Goodnight," she whispered but Renzo heard it.

"Can I really trust you, Renzo Savier?" She thought out loud after he left the room. Sleep soon took her the moment her head touched the pillow.

On the other hand, Renzo who had his vampire senses in function heard her statement. He pursed his lips, chuckling gently and marched towards his study room.

Asari laid back in her bed and the moment her head touched the pillow, she drifted into darkness.

"You must return and take revenge for us," a voice taunted creepily.

"They must pay with blood, everyone of them will scream in pain, just like how they did to us," continued the voice evilly.

'Humanity never existed in the dictionary of night creatures. Ego ruled their heart, lust was their cup of tea and bloodshed ran in their veins.'

"We all have an inner demon but yours is dormant, awaken it. Awaken it, you'll see the reality. Tame it and rule it," the voice said.

In a conclusive tone the voice said, "But remember, they must all die."

Suddenly, the female laying a queen-sized bed opened her eyes which were now black as the darkness. Like an endless night, her face expression less as though nothing bothered her.

Beneath her eyes were dark bulging veins that ran down her cheeks. She sat upright and walked towards the door of the room. She broke the door effortlessly and headed down the dark hallway.

"They must die," she mumbled.

Fortunately, there was no one standing in her way. Suddenly, she halted her footsteps and it was as if she sensed something. She walked to a corner on her left and disappeared into the welcoming darkness.

Meanwhile, Renzo who'd been in the middle of his paper work sensed something amiss. From a far he could hear light footsteps, a sound which couldn't be detected by a normal human. Closer and closer they got, these foot steps weren't his enemy's.

They only belonged to one person but before he could think further, his door was bust open and in emerged the anticipated culprit.

There was something off about how her, Renzo denoted. Before he could react, he was attacked by the female…
