Xaria nestled at the summit of a mountain, a quaint village in a patchwork quilt of similar settlements adorning the majestic Sayr Mountain. Surrounded by towering peaks, Xaria shared its elevation with a handful of other hamlets, creating a high-altitude of interconnected communities. Each of these mountain villages was led by a revered elder known as the Chief. The title of Chief was bestowed upon the eldest individual in the village, whether a man or a woman. In the event of the chief's passing, the mantle of leadership seamlessly transitioned to the next in line, the next oldest resident, ensuring a continuity deeply rooted in tradition.
