Roshni's Pov

I woke up with the sound of birds singing.

Then it dawn to me that i was leaving today cause rashi sent me a message that she'll come see me before i leave. I started crying I dont want to leave the place i grew up in I love india and i want to stay here..

My door opened and mama came in I saw a ran to hug her still crying

"hush Roshni your dad is doing this for your own benefit" she said

"but mama what on earth will benefit me if i go to america am fine here please?" i asked.

Then she became silent

"You see papa is just sending me there as a punishment for my mischevious ways but i promise mama put my hand on throat i wont be a bad girl again i'll be good girl" I said crying

"my love you will be good I know but ur papa has made his decision" she said sadly

"mama i don't want didi(sister) to go" ram said from the door. It was the first time he called me sister. I spread out my hands for a hug.

"nah crazy girl i dont do hugs" he shakes his head. Sometimes he acts like an adult instead of a 12year old.

"oh come on i know you want it" i said and he finally hugged me and mom joined.

"Your all forgetting me" Papa said

"papa" i said and hugged him

"papa maf ga(forgive me) I held my two ears, ka semse(promise) no more mischief I said crying.

"I want to stay" i begged

"light am not sending to america as a punishment am sending you there to explore life and i know you Roshni. Your my light you shine bright wherever you go" i smiled.

"And always remember papa loves you" he said and kissed my cheeks.

"I love u too papa" i said n hugged him,mama and ram joined then rashi.

"i love family hugs" rashi said and everyone laughed.

Finally it was time to go. papa already put my bags in the car. i smiled to mama.

"Am going to miss you"i hugged her.

"i'll miss u too" she said crying

"oh mama dont worry i'll come back" i said smiling but she didn't smile back but then she smiled again

"I packed some jellebies for you she said and i nodded

"share it with your aunt and cousins dont be stingy and take good care of yourself please" she said

"i will mama" i said

"didi"ram called i looked at him in surprise

"ok dont get used to it i dont know i even called u that" i just ignored him and hugged him

"am going to miss you" i said and disengaged as i roughed his hair

"hey watch the hair" he warned and then i moved to rashi

"am going to miss you bestie i promise to call everyday" she cried it was the first time i saw rashi cry i hugged her.

"its time light" my dad said forcefully dragging me from rashi i dont know why i felt like it was the last time i'll ever see them again. I entered the car and looked out the window and shouted

"I love you all"

It was time for me to get in the plane i turned to papa and he hugged me

"i'll miss u light but i know you'll make Everybody fall in love with you instantly but no mischief ok??"he warns and I frown

"Ok maybe a little" he laughed and i laughed too

"please don't forget about me papa" i said

"never" he said and kissed my forehead.

All Passengers please fasten your seatbelts we are about to take off.
