64. Vivi Nii-san

Her Mother Passed away a few hundred years ago so it was genuinely confusing for Yasaka to encounter that scent.

Yasaka decided to inquire about the matter to Venelana to clear her doubts, she and Venelana had a bit of friendship so it shouldn't be too hard.

If it's too confidential then Venelana won't tell her and that's okay.

Yasaka just wanted to sate her curiosity.

She had already seen what had happened with Venelana's son and it should be a top secret but she wasn't ungrateful enough to reveal this matter to anyone.

It was a fact that the boy had saved her daughter and Yasaka owed him one for that.

And looking at Kunou who was puffing up her cheeks while glaring at Vivian, Yasaka giggled a little while patting her daughter's head.

" What? You want him to feed you too~" Yasaka said teasingly while pinching her daughter's face which had become flushed with embarrassment.

" N-No need! I am a big girl! Hmph! " Kunou said in an embarrassed tone as she focused on her food with a huff.

Kunou felt a bit jealous seeing the kind big brother who saved her taking care of someone else.

She also wanted the Kind big brother to feed her like that but was too shy to ask.

Kunou couldn't help but think that it would be nice if the kind Onii-san was really her brother , then she could have a sibling to play with and he would also spoil her a lot.

Kunou had an envious pout on her face and she got even more annoyed with her mother's teasing giggles.

'Mou! So annoying!'

'Eh?' Kunou was confused as she didn't know how she ended up in this position.

She was brooding about somethings and suddenly she was now in Vivi Nii-san's lap enjoying his head pats while being fed by him.

' It feels nice' Kunou narrowed her eyes in comfort as she enjoyed his comfortable head pats.

All her previous jealousy was gone and she was filled with happiness as she enjoyed being spoiled by her new Onii-san.

Yasaka who had noticed her child being shy wasted no time in picking her up and passing her to Vivian who understood the matter immediately as he started spoiling her.

Yasaka couldn't help but think that he looked like a very kind older sibling.

The times are bound to change and whether it be political or personal she felt that it was good for Kunou to be close to Vivian.

She can't rely on Shinto Pantheon's protection too much since Lady Amaterasu herself has her own problems.

She knew what kind of person Amaterasu was and she wouldn't have pledged her loyalty if she didn't respect her.

But there are also other gods in the Shinto faction and Lady Amaterasu should have her hands tied trying to manage all of them.

And sometimes incidents like this would happen, Yasaka knew there should be many Shinto gods who should be dissatisfied with the existence of other supernatural beings in Japan.

Especially the biblical faction , the spread of Christianity that should be affecting the faith of Takamagahara.

There are God's and Onmyoji's who believe Yokai are evil beings of darkness and should be exorcised together with the other creatures of darkness.

But here she was , the leader of the Largest Yokai faction being the priestess of Amaterasu.

Many would be dissatisfied with that and today's incident would be written off as an attack by some rogue members of the 5 principled clans.

Yasaka wasn't an idiot and she knew there was the hand of the 5 Principled clans but it was useless to do anything since they would just deny any responsibility and declare the assailants as rogues.

Right now she needed to ally with someone strong to protect her faction and her daughter, and the boy in front of her seems like the most probable choice since having Ophis as the backing should be the biggest backing one could have.

Since he had the Bloodline of the Ten Tailed Fox then surely she could teach him a thing or two in using his powers because she was a God class Yokai and one would be hard pressed to find a Yokai more qualified than her.

And with the slight friendship she had with Venelana she could request to mentor him and she hoped Venelana would agree.

Yasaka didn't expect much but atleast she hoped to keep her daughter safe , that would be fine for her.

She was a warrior so although she was afraid of leaving her daughter behind she didn't mind dying to protect her people.

Yasaka knew she was thinking too negatively and this was just an extreme case and with her ability to connect to the Kyoto Leylines there weren't many who could defeat her.

Atleast as long as she had Amaterasu-sama's suport then Yasaka had nothing to fear other than some unsavoury individuals using her daughter against her.

" Whoah! Vivi Onii-san is also like mom and me ! " Kunoah said in an excited tone as she touched the Black Fox ears on top of his head.

It felt as fluffy as her moms and she also felt that his Tails smelled nice.

Vivian played around with Kunou as she held onto his Tails as he tickled and wrapped his Tails around her causing her to giggle and smile.

He felt another hand on his Tail and he turned his gaze to see a Stoic Ophis wrapping one of his Tail around herself.
