'Not Dead?'

"Well, it's a known fact that angels were basically slaves," I thought.

It was a fact that everyone knew; after all, the most popular comparison between humanity and angels was that we had a choice in what we did, and they didn't.

Ignoring it all because it didn't matter to me, I followed behind the angel who led me to one of the many stalls. Behind the counter was a human… no, sorry, it was an angel that simply took on a human appearance to not scare the clients.

"Good day, how may I help you today?" the angel asked in a professional but polite manner.

"Um, I was told to meet you because there is some sort of problem with my file."

"Is that so? Then don't worry, we will find the root cause of it and immediately deal with the problem," the angel said as it collected the file and began to work on it immediately.

I can't exactly describe what the angel was doing since the file just dissolved into energy and it waved its arms out in the air before it.

After what seemed like thirty minutes or possibly longer, the angel finally brought its hands down, but a clear frown could be seen on its face. The file was now back to normal.

"Okay then, Mr. Stone, we see the problem and it seems it's one that we can't exactly rectify since it falls under the jurisdiction of an Administrator. However, due to the nature of your problem, you may get the chance to be granted a second life."

"What?"

"In simple terms, you aren't dead, Mr. Stone; your soul was forcefully replaced with that of another, and in order to rectify this problem, you will soon have an omnipotent being groveling at your feet," the angel said with a smile.

The smile sent shivers down my spine. It was completely different from what it had shown so far; it seemed to be a mischievous smile.

"Okay?" I replied, still confused.

No, I understood what she meant, but I didn't understand the groveling part. Did it mean that literally, or was it just trying to tell me that whoever the being was would do anything to rectify the problem?

"Now hold on tightly or you could get lost in the infinite void," the angel said as it brought its two hands forward for me to hold onto.

Without hesitation, I immediately grabbed onto it somehow. I don't think I have hands in this form, but I felt as though I was holding onto someone.

Seconds later, I saw a bright pillar of golden light shine down on us as I felt some sort of suction force on my body. Soon, everything was bright gold as the entire environment faded away.

"You can open your eyes now," the familiar angel voice was heard as I opened my eyes slowly.

The brightness of the pillar of light had forced me to close my eyes. Looking around the new environment, I found myself in what looked like an office.

"Where is this?" I asked.
