Chapter 22 I'm single

Aidan spoke helping him up softly. Way stared at his side profile with a smile, he didn't know he would one day see this side of Aidan. As he thought about it, he couldn't help but think if everything was just a prank after all, he left him hanging the other time he was there.

"I know I'm handsome, but now isn't the time for that," Aidan smirked.

"Narcissist," Way smiled before walking to the dining room alone. He took a seat as he waited for Aidan to arrive.

"Did you make all these yourself?" Aidan stared at the dishes.

"Yeah, I did my mum owns a restaurant so I'm naturally a good cook," he couldn't help but brag a little bit.

"I see, let me dig in first,"

"Go ahead,"

"How is it?" Way asked excitedly his eye brows raised up.

"Mmh, not bad it's a bit salty," he replied.

"Really? Let me taste it,"

"No, I'm just joking,"

"Ooh, so you know how to joke about things now, I've never imagined seeing this new side of you,"

"Prepare to see it from now on," Aidan held his hand as he spoke softly. He also didn't understand why he felt that way but the truth was he loved his new version.

"Are you still mad at me?" Way asked nervously after a long silence as he silently watched Aidan waiting for his reaction. Aidan placed his cutlery on the table.

"Why? Who said that I'm mad?" He asked softly.

"Earlier in the office? When you kicked me out remember?" Way raised his voice slightly. He couldn't believe Aidan had just forgotten everything or rather didn't even care to explain himself. He was kicked out the least thing Aidan could do was go at least apologize or tell him why he did that. Way knew he had no right to complain but he couldn't just let it go. He felt utterly betrayed by his nonchalant reply and reaction.

"I'm full," Way suddenly pouted his lips then gave Aidan a glance before walking upstairs gloomily. Aidan smirked as he watched Way walking away.

"He is too cute," he couldn't help but mumble silently.

Way stomped into Aidan's room and then threw himself on the bed.

"He didn't even stop me," he pouted angrily. Aidan walked into the room thirty minutes later after clearing the table. He placed the glass of milk that he had brought from the kitchen then placed at the side table then keenly watched Way who was silently lying on the bed.

"Stop staring at me, are you laughing at me? Is there something on my face?" He felt the gaze then woke up.

"Mmmh, I'm staring at you," Aidan said with a smile.

"What! Did you just smile? Wait, I'm still angry at you don't even think that it's over, stop trying to confuse me," Way eyed him suspiciously.

"I'm not trying to confuse you, here you didn't eat much drink this so that you can grow taller kiddo," Aidan teased him.

"I'm not a kid and I'm considered tall in my coun... I mean I'm considered tall 175cm isn't short you know," he argued.

"Okay, okay you're not tall," Aidan chuckled.

"You...aaah never mind just give me the milk," he gave up. He knew arguing with Aidan was something impossible. He quickly gulped down the glass of milk then handed it back to Aidan.

"Are you a kitten? Why are you covered in milk kiddo," Aidan teased him.

"I'm not a kiddo, it's just a mistake I was in a hurry."

"Now tell me why were you mad?" He asked.

"Well, earlier you kicked me out of your office," he stuttered.

"It's nothing, I'll go shower then we'll sleep together wait for me," Aidan patted his head softly.

"What do you mean sleep together? We are not even dating I'm not your boyfriend plus who knows if you're single or not,"

"I'm single, do you want to be my boyfriend?"

"You...you stop joking," Way felt embarrassed. He immediately regretted bringing all that up. He knew how shameless Aidan was but it wasn't to this extent.

"Okay, I'm just joking I'm going to shower be good and wait for me."

"Who is waiting for you, I'm going to bed." Way said feeling extremely embarrassed. He immediately walked to the other side of the bed then hid inside the duvet. Aidan smirked then picked up his towel before walking into the bathroom.

The next morning, Way woke up to an empty room. He quickly washed up then went downstairs to look for Aidan.

"You're not going to work today?" He walked into the dining room then sat next to Aidan.

"I was waiting for you, let's have breakfast I'll leave in a bit," Aidan said as he placed the newspaper on the table. He picked up a few dishes then placed it in front of Way's plate.

"Juice or coffee? I still don't know what food or drink you like,"

"I like both but I'll go with coffee." Way replied.

Aidan watched silently as Way sipped his coffee after he was done, he handed him a napkin then broke the silence.

"How long will you stay this time?" He asked seriously. At this point, Aidan wasn't sure how much time he had with him he couldn't help but get worried at the thought of loosing him any time from now.

Way suddenly stopped what he was doing in slight shock. It was a question he didn't expect at all.

"You don't have to tell me the truth, I trust you so when the day comes you want to open up come to me I'll listen but I just need you to answer my question. How long will you stay this time?" He repeated.

Way felt a tinge of happiness in his heart, Aidan's words echoed in his mind and heart. He couldn't help but smile at himself as he clenched on his heart tightly.

"Way, Way? Way?" Aidan waved his hand in front of his face bringing his thoughts back.

"Yeah? Ooh sorry," he said.

"So?"

"Actually, I have no idea I'm still trying to figure out,"

"Don't worry, we'll figure it out together," Aidan said as he held Way's hand.

"Can I go with you to work today?" Way said after a while.
