Surprise

The morning sunlight streamed through the castle windows as I made my way to the dining hall, the excitement of yesterday's dress fitting still fresh in my mind. I couldn't wait to share the details with Zephara, even though I had to keep the specifics of the dress itself a secret.

When I entered the dining hall, I found Zephara already there, her head bent over some documents. She looked up and smiled warmly as she saw me.

"Good morning, my love," she greeted, standing up to pull out a chair for me.

"Good morning, Zephara," I replied, leaning in to kiss her cheek before sitting down.

As we settled into breakfast, Zephara's curiosity was palpable. "So, how did it go with my grandmother yesterday?" she asked, a twinkle in her eye. "Did she cause any trouble?"

I laughed, shaking my head. "No trouble at all. In fact, she was wonderful. She took me to Madame Celeste's atelier to find my wedding dress."
