It's a surpise

The journey back to the castle was tense and filled with an anxious silence. Adara sat beside me in the carriage, her eyes wide with fear and curiosity, while the captured man glared at us from his restrained position. I had him tied securely, ensuring he couldn't attempt any more attacks.

As the sun began to rise, casting a golden glow over the forest, I looked at Adara. She looked so much like Leora, her eyes filled with a mix of innocence and defiance. I couldn't wait to see the joy on Leora's face when she finally reunited with her sister. But first, I had to make sure Adara was safe and hidden until the wedding.

"We're almost there," I said softly, trying to reassure her. "You'll be safe at the castle."

Adara nodded, clutching the pendant I had given her. "I... I don't know what to say to her," she admitted, her voice trembling. "It's been so long."
