At a hidden entrance to root HQ

"I want to be the one to kill him, Tomoka." Nozomi stared at Tomoka with intensity rarely seen in a kid her age. She had heard Tomoka's plan and memorized it, in reality she was here only to witness the fall of the man that killed her clan as she wouldn't be doing much. Thankfully Tomoka had taken her feelings into consideration and offered to let her land the killing blow.

"I know, and you will.'' Tomoka said in a calm tone as she strolled through the passages of Danzo's hidden base. As she did she couldn't help but review the memories of her phantom's infiltration into the place. In a way it had been way too easy and hard at the same time.

The place had been full of all kinds of traps and even had a self destruction mechanism. Thankfully Danzo shot himself on the foot by having his men be without wills of their own. Those flesh puppets made the infiltration easier actually as their chakra signatures were recognized by the many fuinjutsu traps. Like that Tomoka's phantoms just had to possess them and walk around as if they owned the place.

As of right now the Hawk team has reported that Danzo is still inside Konoha's administrative building attending a meeting with the Hokage and other clan elders. Who would have thought that infiltrating such places would be as easy as possessing a rat and having it sneak inside the place?

Truly the Phantom clone jutsu is a ridiculous jutsu capable of doing many things others consider impossible. Take what is happening right now into consideration, the phantoms can possess others and take control of their bodies, does it sound familiar? That's right, the Yamanak's clan's jutsu can do something similar. Then shouldn't they be able to pull the same stunt? The answer is no.

Unfortunately for the Yamanaka clan their jutsu can be easily detected by a good sensor-nin. The reason behind this is that the Yamanak clan's jutsu could be considered a genjutsu. Because of this a sensor-nin could detect the anomaly in chakra flow and warn others. Tomoka's phantom's possession works in a far more insidious way.

Tomoka's phantom's possess their targets by infecting their chakra network. Like a virus they spread their chakra into the target's taking control of their chakra flow. What follows is the rather horrible experience of having your body's control taken from you while you are still conscious.

Using the target's infected chakra the phantoms take control of the target's nervous system. This allows the phantom to control the body and even mind of their targets. Implanting ideas into the target's mind? A few electric signals here. Erase some memories? Delete some electric signals there. In the end the target will do whatever the phantom wants them to and they will believe that it was their idea.

Unfortunately, ninjas have strong minds and chakra. This makes taking absolute control of them as described before difficult to the extreme, specially so for the stronger ninjas. Fortunately for Tomoka and her phantoms Danzo's meat puppets have little to no resistance to this kind of possession due to their broken wills.

Somewhere inside the HQ

"Look at me, I'm a real boy!" A root ninja said, patting his body.

"Shut it 73 we are on a mission right now." Another ninja said with some annoyance.

"You are no fun 68, relax the infiltration job is finished anyway." Said 73 with a shrug while playing with a kunai.

"That doesn't mean we can goof around and risk the mission." 68 couldn't help but glare at 73 with a frown. He couldn't understand why some of them would choose such troublesome personalities.

"Bah, as if anything would go wrong…" As 73 said that he failed to catch the kunai he was playing with only for it to fall on his foot making a nasty cut on it. Seeing this 68 couldn't help but facepalm, this idiot would be the death of him.

"Huh, so that's how it feels to bleed." 73 crouched and began poking the wound with interest while 68 gave up on life and banged his head against the nearest wall.
