"There it is. We found one of them, finally…" Vlad looked into the distance through the forest; they had been searching for ten whole minutes and finally found a Silent Dark Spirit.
It was camouflaging itself into the darkness, standing still without moving an inch; however, this creature was often aggressive, creeping into the shadows or backs of people and attacking them in complete silence.
Due to the lack of any noise they produced, it was quite hard to find them within this darkness, and special sense skills such as Magic Sense or Vampire Senses were required to deal with them.
This was one of the many reasons why this entire forest wasn't visited that much by Players, as the Dark Spirit monsters were simply not even worth the effort to defeat…
Except for Vlad and Alitheus, who saw this forest as a great place to hunt and find new spirit companions; as creepy as they were, they counted as Spirits.
"It's completely standing, huh? Kind of creepy," said Alitheus. "So what do we do? Will it escape once we hit it?"
"Most likely, right?" Emerlinda said. "Maybe we need to one shot it with a magic arrow?"
"No, no, according to the guide I read," Vlad explained. "It said that you have to shoot them with a powerful Light Spell, they'll be Staggered once they are hit with the first Light Spell attack they hit. Usually paralyzing them for five seconds. We'll restrain him at that time, and Chris will make a contract, this time with our help, so it doesn't possess him."
"Ooh, I had no idea there were strategy guides for each monster…" Said Emerlinda. "But how trustful is the source?"
"It came from the community game wiki page, so I'm assuming it has some truth to it… Well, no better way than by trying it out!" Vlad said. "Alright, Chris, can you shoot a powerful Light Arrow, but not kill it?"
"I can try, yeah," Chris nodded. "Let me do it."
Chris nodded, quickly gathering Heavenly Ki into his hands and shaping it into an arrow through his magic bow, which he noticed might be in need of a new upgrade.
Then, the arrow of light gained golden and red flames, overflowing with power, yet Chris kept the Arcana levels very low.
"[Ethereal Golden Moonlight Materialization] + [Fire Spirit Arrow Creation] = {Holy Golden Flame Arrow}"
FLASH!
The arrow was fired instantly, combining two powerful Skills into one. The Silent Dark Spirit remained completely mute as its humanoid, lanky body was immediately hit.
BOOOM!
"G-Gigick?!"
The arrow hit the Silent Dark Spirit, as it made some strange, almost inaudible noise before a flash of light blinded its many eyes.
FLAAASH!
"Gryyaaaergh!"
It screamed loudly, giving away its presence completely! At the same time, the light was horrifying for the Dark Spirit, as the monster instantly fell to the ground, paralyzed.
"Now!"
After his command, everyone moved almost completely synchronized. Camilla was the first to act, conjuring chains and several hands out of her psychic powers, which were almost completely invisible if it weren't for the outline that could be seen, which was slightly gray or white.
Then, Emerlinda used her Spirits to create a small Spiritual Barrier around the Silent Dark Spirit, while it struggled to move while being restrained.
And lastly, Vlad used Geomancy and his Ritual Magic together, channeling the Red Moonlight to unleash a quicker version of the Formation he had done before.
FLUOSH!
These combined powers quickly made the Silent Dark Spirit submit, as Chris touched it with his hand, now covered with Light to not be possessed, and infused his powers into it.
"You're now beneath our will; there's two options! Become my Contracted Spirit and live or die."
"Grrrhhhh…!"
The Silent Dark Spirit seemed angered, its countless red eyes glaring at Chris furiously… However, its darkness was quickly transformed, twisting into sparkles of light.
Chris quickly used his Spirit Energy, infusing it into the Dark Spirit and connecting with these sparkles of black light!
FLAAASH!
A connection was instantly formed between him and the Spirit. As Crazy gasped in disbelief, the powerful Silent Dark Spirit was now his third contracted Spirit!
Ding!

Chris saw those notifications, feeling pretty happy.
"It's done!"
As he said that, the Silent Dark Spirit was released; it looked around confused but then remained in silence, glancing at Chris, awaiting orders.
"This is nice; I've got three now, heheh…"
Chris giggled as the entire formation came undone while he was admiring his collection of Spirits.
"Three of them is plenty, I believe; more and you might put a strain on your Spiritual Heart," said Vlad. "Or so I read, is that right, Ermelinda?"
"Y-Yes, I also have a limit of three Spirits with my Spiritual Heart," Emerlinda said. "But you'll unlock more slots for Contracts when your Spiritual Heart grows stronger! Anyways, congrats on your third Spirit, Chris!"
"Ah, thanks," Chris smiled, feeling fulfilled. "Welp, we've just done what we came here for, so let's go back and enjoy a nice, relaxing evening with your Vampire mom-"
"We're hunting more Dark Spirits until I drink enough blood." Vlad placed his hand on Chris shoulders, topping him before he were to go anywhere. "I helped you—we helped you get two new Spirits, now you do the same for us, right?"
"Uugh… Okay, yes… fine." Chris sighed.
Like that, the party continued their adventure in this black forest, rapidly finding a new Silent Dark Spirit, this time, it wasn't going to be contracted.
"Shot it down like before," Vlad suggested.
"Sure~!" Chris winked at him.
BOOOM!
FLAAASH!
The explosion of flames and the blinding light became an incredible combo, catching the monster off-guard and then paralyzing it after dealing some damage.
After it was done, Vlad, Camilla, and Emerlinda ganged on it, and if the time limit went out, Chris would use a powerful Heavenly Smite Spell to finish it off!
BOOOM!
Like he did just now!
"G-Gryyeeh…"
The Silent Dark Spirit let out an agonizing sigh before dying; its entire bleeding corpse, while still fresh, was stored by Vlad within his Inventory for later consumption.
"Okay, let's hunt some more then…"
Like that, they repeated the same trick ten more times, securing a lot of Dark Spirit corpses and blood!
And yet, for some reason, the monsters were becoming rarer on their route, until…
"W-What the hell is that?" Chris asked.
"T-The Dark Spirits, all gathered together…" Emerlinda muttered.
"This… might be a little trap, perhaps," Vlad smiled half-jokingly.
