PART: 5

The night falls upon these wicked souls, there, are three friends who stayed alive for many years in this apocalyptic world, here with the superior A.I, the daughter of whom they learned that she is the next generation of the fallen savior who failed to protect mankind. 

Jake, Luna, John, and Cornie are here where they planned, where they will begin their task to save the survivors in this rear-end bunker. all have armed with guns and stun weapons, these bullets won't kill them instantly, but they will have to try.

John: "It's 11:32... what did you bring guys?"

Cornie: "I brought this stun baton, it can break someone's skull with such small force, you Jake?"

Jake takes out a suppression glock: "Eh, I can only bring this, the armory won't allow kids like us to carry level 3 weapons above"

the three then look at Luna with their eyebrow raised, she just standing there and crossing her arms.

Luna: "Do I have to show you more?" speaking with a stoic tone, she looked at them like someone who was disappointed slightly.

Jake: "Good point. what about you John? I see you carrying a gun case"

John: "I stole this" he unlocks the box, it was an assault rifle, "this... is my fully modified HK-700, with an overcharged system, allowing the bullet to heat up to nearly 4000-degree Celsius, but the range will reduce tho"

Jake and Cornie are impressed, they didn't expect John would bring out his biggest toy. but compared to Luna, it is like an old crossbow.

Luna: "Hmp, soo Jake, what do think we are supposed to do next?" she started speaking mockingly.

Jake: "Oh... uhh... I didn't plan the next part to be honest. but I guess we will have to go to each one of them an-"

Luna: "Stop" she uncrossed her arm "I know you all won't be able to find all inside this place, so to make your job easier..."

she walked past Jake and the two, leaned down, and placed her hand in front like a marathon runner, and her leg appeared with two of those glowing marks.

John: "What are you gonna do?" concerned

Luna grins, "Bring those mimics here..." [acceleration: activated / speed: (locking)]

her body begins to leak out red electrified spark, her hair like flying in the wind, even tho there is none.

Jake, John, and Cornie back away from her, they know what is going to happen next, "Uh oh..."

Luna's fingers dig down into the metal floor like butter, and sharp claws hold for a blast, her systems are locked on, and her targets are set, then. like the time has stopped, but the movement is still extremely fast, Luna took 0.0 seconds to tear down the whole bunker, faster than light, she has already held those machines in disguise, and brought them back to the cafeteria. all of the mimics have been disabled, their arms and legs are gone, and only the head and torso remain.

Luna: "done" 

the group was all shocked, seeing all of the imposters were already here for an easy kill, their jaws dropped down wide.

John: "Holy!"

Cornie: "Wow! I didn't even have time to blink"

Jake: "That was so fast! like instant"

Luna hearing those compliments, smirked full of self-confidence: "No need to thanks. it's been a while since I used my father's move"

Jake: "Your father created that ability?"

Luna: "Acceleration, yes. but I rarely see him using it because the temperature of your body will be increased like really hot"

Jake finally noticed the heat emitting from Luna, even tho she was standing away from them about 10 feet.

Cornie: "Ahh that's steam burning around from her body"

the cool-down system has been activated, her arms and limbs open, and gaps around her body shoot out liquid nitrogen, it vaporizes nearly instantly when makes contact with her body, and soon she eventually returns to normal human temperature. "ahh much better now"

Jake: "You are such an interesting one"

John: "Alright, we should kill these machines right?"

Luna: "Yeah, but lemme hack their signal, the horde will go to a different location" She quickly got over to the pile of bodies, mechanical claws formed out from behind her, and let out red energy wires to connect to each one of the mimics, her eyes went into the hacking mode, like a program doing all the works and detecting waves of signal from the horde.

Jake and his friend look at her doing the important thing, don't know what to do.

John: "Yeah we should guard her til she finishes, there're guards around"

Cornie: "We are guarding the deadly girl, while guards are guarding the bunker and patrolling the place"

Jake and John Laughed, for the first time in many days.

minutes passing by time, the quiet night with nothing besides the sound of a liquid dripping from a dead body. 

just like John and Jake expected, guards are patrolling around, luckily no one enters the cafeteria, but the worries keep haunting Jake for no reason.

Jake: "soo you telling me that I forgot to bring the physics book when we study? damn I need to improve my remembering skill"

Cornie: "It's okay, we didn't have physics that day, just in case you know"

John let out a big yawn: "She taking quite the time I won't lie" 

Jake: "Just wait, she's helping us after all"

John: "It's been 10 minutes, hacking takes this long?"

Jake: "I don't know" he then proceeds to tap on her shoulder, "Luna?"

Luna's eyes still running like codes, line after line. but after a bit more she finally finished.

Luna: "Done!" her head hit Jake's Stomach, making him fall on his butt "Oh sorry"

Jake: "Oof, took you long enough."

Luna: "Yeah I have to breach through a lot of firewalls and overdrive the signal" She helped Jake get up. "they won't be here for a long time"

John: "So we are clear?!" 

Cornie and John let out a joyful cheer, they believe the confirmation, yet Jake doesn't seem to get out of the worries inside his mind.

Jake: "I hope so..."

Luna: "What's wrong? you look green"

Jake: "Nothing, it's normal, I always like that"

Luna tilted her head, she was sure he was not, but rather than that, she knew she had just saved hundreds of people, unlike the previous one.

Lights of the night rest down for the new days with an unknown goal has come. the kids have their time wandering around, finding what to do besides just standing still. survive is already hard, but living is even harder when nothing can entertain them. eventually Jake with his friends all gather up at the collective living area, playing some uno, an old game that Luna created using her ability to manipulate the matter around and the stored material "inside her core", she said.

the group of friends burning time with this little game in the morning, waiting for nothing.

John: "You got green?"

Cornie: "No... but I got plus two, hehe"

John: "Dammit"

Jake: "They have fun heh?" he looks at Luna,

she is reading a book, not paying attention. she nods at him even tho she doesn't hear him much. 

Jake thinks to his mind, "I guess we can enjoy the remaining time on earth this way... even so, why do I keep having that feeling about something that will happen like last time..." Thinking about it, he again has a question for the Core girl. 

"Hey Luna"

"yeah?"

"Can you use that area scan thingy?"

"Why do you ask?" she placed down the book "Is something wrong?"

"Just... I feel something..." his eyes looking straight at her eyes with the irises have been small down.

Luna has a moment to figure out what he wants, but then finally listens, "Okay...?"

she then looks around the bunker, from below to the top, even the area surrounding it, seeming like she doesn't detect anything.

"I don't see any... wait" She looks up her eyes wide up.

Jake doesn't have time to ask, Luna grabs him her tail wrapped around John and Cornie. "MOVE!" she yanked them all at the spot, dodged a gigantic Round, and pierced through the bunker, down to floor -10, over 60 meters deep. the explosive bomb butt-end crank two times before it slams into the main body.

Luna quickly created a barrier of metal using the black liquid, it covered four of them before the explosion happened.

the giant shockwave blasted the floor, chained up and down, the survivors quickly disintegrated, flame and destruction causing the whole place to be blown into dust.

Jake: "Dammit! I knew it!!" 

John: "What is going on!?"

Luna: "Sit your arses still! I'm bringing everyone out of this place!"

the cube carrying everyone who is still alive levitates and flies upward. at the top ground floor, everyone is panicking, more than half of the population inside the safe base has been wiped out in just a blink of an eye.

Luna opens the barrier, Cornie and John fall, and Jake knees down on the floor, seeing everyone getting to the armory.

Jake: "god..."

Luna: "Another is coming!"

and so it did, right when she finished, another round from a far-range artillery landed down, it pierced through the floor again, and shockwave making the place rumble.

Luna: "We have to abandon this place! Let's go!!" she pulls Jake from his arm, helping him stand up, as they begin to run to the exit.

the gang is finally here, the leader of the Bunker is commanding his people to escape using the armored vehicles.

Luna: "Okay, you three meet me outside, I'll-"

suddenly someone screamed "AN H.rC!!!!", cutting Luna, every soldier when seeing her, noticed her tail and her eyes,

"shit!!! a Mimic!"

"Kill it! it must be the one called the attack here!"

Jake: "Wait no!!!"

Not letting Jake explain 10 soldiers fired their guns, John, quickly got Jake away before he could eat some lead.

Luna with her power, active the matter distortion. the bullets stopped mid-air and flew away. "You idiots! get out of here! don't get on the carrier, meet me at a broken building, and I'll find you all!"

her arm opens up, and energy flows out as she punches into the ground, creating a blast, that knocks every soldier down.

Jake got away from John and Cornie's grasp, he then ran over to Luna

John: "dude wait!"

the crowd of people pushing them forward, not letting him move back.

the whole army inside the bunker group up, they aimed at Luna, but she didn't fear them, but more worried about killing them.

right then Jake came over, standing in front of her, as the next explosion went off from an artillery

"Jake?" the general looks at him confused.

Jake: "Sir! Don't kill her! it's not like you think"

"Get away boy, that thing is one of them, why are you defending her?"

Luna seems to notice the sniper aiming at her from behind. 

Jake: "She isn't one of them! she's a core!"

general: "A core? She doesn't look like one"

Luna: "Jake... there will be a rain of explosives strike down in the next 40 seconds, take my hand if you are finished"

Jake: "What?" his face is surely afraid right now "Everyone! we need to get out of here, the next one will be devastating!"

General: "That thing knows, it is the one causing this! we have to kill it"

"Snipers, you have the green code"

Luna grabs Jake's jacket "We have to move!"

"Fire!"

the 150 caliber rounds flew straight at Luna's head, but the machine figure behind appeared, it caught all of the bullets, and when the soldiers saw that thing they all let all of the rain storm of lead at them.

Jake screamed when Luna lifted him, she whispered in his ear "I'm sorry"

[Accelerate activated] She burned through the path, escaping the bunker, they stopped in the distance when the shock wave from the round shells rained down upon the bunker, destroying it completely.

huge blast of flame, emp, and decaying smell of metal hit the sense of Jake.

Jake: "Noo..."

Luna: "dammit... there's a beacon... why it is there!!" she sounds very angry, her fist clenched together, and the figure behind her also growls like a monster.

the machines also picked up the vehicles escaping the bunker, the beacon sending them here, and something planted next to the bunker when they didn't notice, this thing Luna is hard to detect.

She let out a furious scream, distorted like a mechanic speaker, her left arm turned into a rail gun, and she destroyed the beacon with a huge amount of energy output.

Jake: "Why are you angry?"

Luna: "Those beacons... those things are the first ones causing me trouble when I try to save everyone! I hate those frickers!" she kicks the boulder, breaking it in half.

Jake: "Is John and Cornie safe?"

Luna sat down, "I don't know... I hope they don't get onto one of those..." She looks disappointed, about herself.

Jake: "We gotta find them! cmon, don't be like that"

Luna then scanned the area, and through her eyes, she saw no living being besides metal and cold blood. she levitates to Jake and grabs his shoulder "I can't see them around... but maybe they're hiding somewhere... I'll use my drone to search the area and the locations around here"

Jake: "I hope they're alive"

Luna: "They will..." A cube formed in her hand then threw it, the cube transformed into a stealth mini figure of a machine, it then split into 15 and flew away.

after which, Jake with her descends to the ruined building. with the new priority of searching for any remaining survivor and a place to be. "let's head north" Jake said.

Luna was quite confused, Jake explained that when he was young, he heard her mom talking about someone about a white artifact hidden somewhere near the beachside, although that place was heavily contaminated with Black blood. the ocean was assimilated. Luna denies that decision of his and continues her progress of finding Jake's buds.

unfortunately not always go smoothly, they encountered the tank, it fired missiles barrage from its legs, roaring like a mechanical lion, and charged right at them.

Luna: "Get out of my way!" her eyes go red crimson, he pushes Jake into a hole covered with reinforced steel. 

Jake heard explosions going crazy with the bombers being deployed. slashing sounds of metal being torn apart.

Gun blazing from the moving fortress, it opened the front plate and fired the massive laser, vaporizing everything. Luna parried the shot using the mech behind her, then locked on. supergravity force crushed the monster from inside, taking when it was stunned, teleported right in front of it and completely erased it out of existence with the power of her core, and a glance of an eye when in range. the mysterious power of the arrow mark that looks like an editing tool inside a computer. 

and with that, she won "easy" -Luna

after that, Jake got pulled out of the crater, disappointed when he could not watch the short show.
