The CEO Demands To See You At His Office

Kayla, unable to contain her enthusiasm, responded with a mischievous grin,

"Who else?"

Before Kayla could utter another word, Darren walked into the room, exuding an undeniable glow.

The air seemed to shift as the atmosphere filled with excitement.

Darren Hernandez sauntered into the bustling office space with an embodiment of effortless charm and sophistication.

Heads turned instinctively, drawn to his flawless presence. Kiara, engrossed in her work, remained unfazed by the stir caused by Darren's entrance.

"This is hard to believe," one of the workers said in a hushed tone.

"He is truly going to be working with us." Another colleague replied"

The employees, however, couldn't help but steal glances at the great Mr. Hernandez's only son.

"Good morning, sir," Lora, an eager employee, hurriedly approached Darren, clutching a stack of files.

Together, they walked towards his office, the attention of the entire workspace fixated on their interaction.

Once inside his office, Lora closed the door behind her with a gentle click, creating an air of confidentiality.

She gracefully approached Darren, who was now seated.

"Good morning, sir," she greeted once more, determined to capture his attention amid the allure of his presence.

"These are the licensing agreements for EpicVerse Publishers regarding their book, 'Twisted Fates'.

"Oh, okay. Let me take a look," Darren responded, his focus shifting to the paperwork laid out before him.

"You'll need to sign here and here," Lora guided him, her finger pointing to the designated spaces on the documents.

Asked to review the agreements, Lora seized the moment to ask a respectful question, hence, her voice reflected genuine curiosity.

"May I ask a humble question, sir?"

Darren, intrigued, encouraged her to proceed. "Yes, go ahead."

"Why did you choose to join us here at Starvision Studios when you could easily work with your father? He runs numerous businesses, and you're undoubtedly a bonafide owner, being his son."

Darren leaned back, a contemplative expression on his face.

"It's a way of showing everyone that I can work on my own, without relying on my father's wealth or assets."

Lora, impressed, responded with admiration. "Oh, wow. That's incredibly wise of you, sir. We feel truly honored to have you in our midst."

"Thank you," he said, fully aware that everything taking place was a subtle examination, part of his father's meticulous test to gauge his readiness to take over the family business.

At the close of work, Nolan offered a ride home to Kiara seeing her walking alone.

He gently honked the horn, to signify his presence.

Kiara, with a hint of eagerness and gratitude, hastily entered the car.

"Nolan, and you?" he inquired as they set off.

"Kiara!"

Navigating the steering wheel, he questioned, "Which direction?"

"1234 Main Street, Unit 567, Los Angeles, CA 90015," she promptly responded.

"Surprisingly close to my place!" Nolan remarked.

"Oh, wow," she uttered in amazement.

"Do you recognize my face? Sure you wouldn't," Nolan teased.

"I can't quite recognize."

"Well, yeah, I know. You just started working with us; it won't be that easy."

"Oh! Starvision Studios!"

"Yeah."

"So sorry I couldn't remember."

"No qualms, it happens," Nolan assured.

During the ride, they exchanged a few more words, leading them to Kiara's destination.

As they reached her apartment, Nolan seized the moment,

"Would you be free after work tomorrow?"

"Sure, I will. Anything?" she responded.

"Could we have dinner? You're free to choose the location," Nolan asked, a wide smile accompanying his words, hopeful for a positive response.

"Oh…" Kiara paused for a while, contemplating.

"Ok," she finally nodded in acceptance.

"Time and place?" Nolan inquired.

"Ummmm… I'd make that known to you at work tomorrow."

"Ok then, thanks," he acknowledged, and with a casual "Bye," Nolan slowly drove away, the sound of the buzz of the car lingering in the quiet street.

The next morning Kiara entered the office with a sense of purpose, her steps echoing in the corridor.

A colleague delivered a message that held an air of urgency:

"The CEO demands to see you at his office." Acknowledging the summons with a nonchalant "Ok," Kiara navigated the bustling workplace to reach the nerve center.

Upon entering Mr. Rollands office, Kiara greeted him with a respectful "Good morning."

The CEO, an imposing figure, gestured for her to sit, creating an atmosphere of formality.

"How's your stay at work?" he inquired, his tone a blend of cordiality and authority.

"Fine, sir," Kiara replied, her poise reflecting a commitment to her responsibilities.

Mr. Rolland acknowledged her qualifications,

"I could see your qualifications, you've worked in some production companies before, and your results shows that you made it top in class," He remarked, as his gaze shifted to her records, a tangible testament to her excellence.

"You should be an experienced production assistant" Mr Rolland added.

As the conversation unfolded, excitement took center stage. "Congratulations to us!" Mr. Rolland announced, revealing a significant development.

The organization had been chosen by 'EpicVerse Publishers' to work on the adaptation of the book 'Twisted Fates' into a movie.

The weight of the opportunity hung in the air, amplifying the significance of the task at hand.

Mr. Rolland, now a harbinger of responsibility, emphasized Kiara's role.

"I've seen your qualifications, and I believe you can be of great assistance to the second in command," he declared.

"Sorry sir, but if I may ask who is the second in command." Kiara sought for clarification.

"Mr Darren Hernandez of course."

Internally, Kiara grappled with a subtle discontent, hidden behind a professional facade.

"Him again?" she mused, suppressing any overt display of dissatisfaction in the CEO's presence.

The CEO, sensing the unspoken tension, explained the delegation.

"He is going to be working on this as I would be out of the country for some time," Mr. Rolland elucidated, assigning Kiara a collaborative role with Darren.

Confidence now mingled with a sense of responsibility as the CEO expressed faith in their capabilities.

"I believe in you both," he declared optimistically, foreseeing success in their collaboration.
