"Yeah Darren, Could 'Darren' be my father's middle name or something?" Kiara asked, searching for a connection.

But Aunt Meyer quickly dismissed the idea, "No, Kiara, your father's name is Smith Hathaway, there's no connection to Darren whatsoever."

"But who could Darren be?" Kiara asked, her mind racing with possibilities.

Aunt Meyer downplayed the significance, "It's not important, Kiara. If it is that you can't remember who or what it refers to, let's just move on from it, it's possible it isn't that significant."

"By the way, Aunt Meyer, the doctor has requested to see us both during my next appointment," Kiara said, her eyes fixed on her aunt's reaction.

"What's this about?" Aunt Meyer asked.

I'm not entirely sure, but she mentioned wanting to meet one of my parents, and... well, you're the only family I have," Kiara explained, her words tinged with a sense of uncertainty.
