Dr. Akim stood with her to go over her schedule and responsibilities.

"Don't worry, you'll be shadowing some experienced assistants for a bit before you start helping out in surgeries," he said with a smile.

Madelyn asked eagerly, "Where are the hospital records stored?"

Dr. Akim smiled, "In the medical records room, where all the patient files and medical histories are kept of course," Dr. Akim replied, his eyes twinkling with a hint of curiosity.

Madelyn pressed for clarification,

"Exactly where is the medical records room?"

Dr. Akim replied, "First floor, on your left." Madelyn nodded, her mind racing with her next step, when Dr. Akim posed a probing question, "What's driving your interest in the hospital's layout?"

Madelyn's eyes widened slightly, trying to appear innocent.
