As expected of the prince, Kanaru went straight to work. The infirmary released him just this morning, and he returned to being the dependable assistant. He just came there to eat and meet his friends even if he was late again because of his inner court tasks.

Kanaru didn't think he would be openly scrutinized like this.

The girl glanced at the former inner court members eating with disgusted expressions. Then, she leaned closer to whisper to Kanaru. "Is it true? Some cleaners are saying that Sonina… violated you, Kanaru. I don't know how she did it, but… did she touch you like that? While you were asleep?"

"That…" Kanaru froze a little. He then looked around to catch a few stray glances coming his way. He didn't know what those people heard, but the gossipy girl had to explain a little.
