Breaking a Delicate Hand

Looking back, Fenris didn't even care about speaking to Dio more than he should. Even if he figured it was too harsh for someone he was forced to forget, Fenris didn't back down. After all, remembering Dio might bring trouble Fenris didn't want to deal with. The king already saw how Kanaru grew jealous of Eann and the rest of the inner harem court.

Adding Dio into the mix might break Kanaru in ways Fenris could not fix.

Then again, the sun god vanished twenty years ago. He never heard Dio reason out his absence; neither did Dio do something that Fenris would take as 'adorable.' Perhaps his heart was too loyal that he needed selective amnesia just to let go of a relationship.

"What are you thinking about?" Kanaru asked as he joined Fenris in watching the shimmering lights from their balcony. He just returned after collecting snacks on a whim.
