The main palace courtyard was just so wide, but most of the main hall hugged three sides of it. Fenris could see it from the hallway leading to the king's drawing room, and so did Rodnir.

The king's ward stood before the glazed window overlooking the arriving servants and the supplies they brought. He hoped to catch any abnormalities but was too slow to catch Eann arriving with Sordin. However, he caught how Lufian attacked Sordin.

It couldn't be helped if Kanaru attracted the ire or admiration of most fickle creatures. If he didn't want trouble, he should lock that bird in the tower where the prince slept.

Rodnir turned away and found Sierra arranging flowers on a vase along the hallway to the throne chamber. The hall they were in was connected to the main one through the throne chamber, designed to hold the other royals in the palace. This was not even in use days ago.
