NARUTO THE FOX SAGE

Looking at the masked man, I stood still with my breathing as calm as they could be.

'Damn it, I thought the Hokage dealt with those masked men already?!'

Of course, my calm was nothing but an act.

I just escaped that organization, and now I'm about to be captured again!

'Is my fate to be used by others?!'

I gritted my teeth. I'm sure the masked man saw it, because I heard him humm beneath his mask.

'I could do something similar to what the snake man did!"

As though blood was leaking through my finger nails, an aura of dark-red coated my hands and feet like a snake slowly coiling around them.

With a single step, I turned into a flash, blitzing across the air and reaching the man in an instant!

I swung my claw, and caught off-guard, my claws tore through the man's mask and left a claw wound across the man's face.

'Hmm,' I narrowed my eyes and backed away. It was a good thing I did, because the man unsheathed his sword.

'My nails felt great resistance when they reached his skin, strange.!

With how his mask tore like paper against my claws, his face should've been mangled.

'I'll just do it again!'

With that in mind, I got on all fours. Using both my hands and feet, I went on the offensive!

Trials of life and death are often settled in a few moves. Especially when one's skills are dramatically different.

Battles would only be prolonged when both fighters are on equal ground.

'I didn't die.'

I lay on the ground, defeated and bleeding.

On the other hand, the masked man stood at a distance, taking out another mask. After he wore it, he disappeared.
