chapter one

Romans 5 verse 19

For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

The one man that Romans 5:19 is referencing to here, is Adam, who by disobeying God's command, to eat of the forbidden fruit, brought sin into the world.

And The obedient One mentioned right after is Jesus, Who by dying on the cross sinless and resurrecting three days later, took away the sins of you and I, or in other words the sin of Adam that corrupted the human race.

Now how Jesus dying and resurrecting takes away the sins of the world is quite simple.

Leviticus 23 verse 19

Then ye shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings.

The verse mentioned above speaks about when the Israelites used to offer either a kid of the goats or a young bullock for a sin offering. They would springle the animals blood on the alter then burn the flesh as a sacrifice unto the Lord, and their sins would be forgiven them..

This is so because the punishment for sin is death, so by offering up the lamb for a sin offering, they have the lamb stand in their stead, so whatever punishment that they have to face because of their sins the lamb will take, in this case it's death, that is why they kill the lamb.

In more simpler terms, much like how we sometimes send someone to let's say a meeting in our stead to fulfill our duties for us, the Israelites had the lamb stand in their stead take all of their sins and die as an offering to the Lord.

By the lamb dying we don't have to face the punishment of death. Or in more simpler terms, we don't have to fret about the meeting because somebody else has fulfilled our duties for us.

Now in the new testament, the lamb becomes Jesus, Who suffers unimaginable pain, who gets beaten up, whipped.... Jesus was wounded, for us, as the sacrificial lamb, and then he later died on the cross finishing the offering, finishing the work.

But it didn't just end there, no, Jesus didn't just die and that was it, he rose back up three days later, after defeating death, that is, the devil.

Hebrews 2 verse 14

Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

The verse talks about how Jesus calls us His children, and since we are human He had to take the form of a human body, to die on the cross and take the power of death away from the devil.

So now we don't have to live in fear of death, (or of anything) because Jesus has taken that power away from the devil, we don't have to be afraid that today we going to die or tomorrow we are going to die, unless God says it's our time to die, the devil cannot kill us the devil cannot do anything to us.

Perhaps he can weaken us but he cannot kill us, he cannot destroy us or do anything to take our life away, our lives or souls, is in the hands of God and God alone. So rest assured that the devil cannot do anything to you unless God permits him.

Read Job 1 verse 6 - 12

Now Jesus didn't just die, like I said, He rose back up three days later after defeating death, after taking the power of death away from the devil, He rose back up three days later, granting all of us who believe in him, everlasting life.

So we cannot die, our spiritual bodies cannot die, only our physical bodies die when our time is due, as to our spiritual body, because we believe in God, Because we believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins and rose up three days later after defeating death, our spiritual bodies don't die, we go to heaven after our physical death.

Therefore having everlasting life with God.

So what am I trying to say or where am I going with this?

I want you to hear the first part of the good news first, the second part is even more wonderful.

John 3 verse 16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Without Jesus, we would have perished. Without Jesus we would have died and went to Hell. Without Jesus, we would be still slaves to our sins. Without Jesus we would still be afraid of death.

But God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

GOD so loved the world, let us not forget the 'so,' He so loves the world that he doesn't want any of the bad things mentioned to happen to us. We deserve the punishment of death, but God so loves us that he doesn't want us to face that punishment, God so loves us that He would rather have His son face that punishment for us, so that we through Jesus Christ can have everlasting life, so that we through Jesus Christ can be closer to God as His children.

God loves us so much, God loves you so much, God doesn't care what sin you have committed, God is a forgiving God, He doesn't care if you are a murder, a smoker, a prostitute, a rastafarian, an adulterer, an idolater, a gay, a lesbian, a rapist, etc.

As long as you believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sins, as long as you believe that He rose up three days later, as long as you confess Him into your life, all of your sins are forgiven, and forgotten.

It does not matter what you have done it doesn't matter what sins you have committed it doesn't matter what abominations you have done, as long as you run to God as long as you confess your sins Repent and take Jesus as your Lord and personal saviour, you are SAVED.

God doesn't care about how crazy and extreme your sins are, He will forgive them all once you confess them, repent from them and accept Jesus into your life.

Jesus is coming.

So change now because we don't know when He's coming what hour what day what year month or weak, but we know that the time is close, so Repent! Repent! Repent! now before it is too late.

Repeat after this

I thank you for dying on the cross for my sins.

Please forgive my sins and give me the gift of eternal life I ask you into my heart and life to be my lord and personal saviour I want to serve you always So help me God"

HALLELUJAH!!! YOU ARE NOW A CHILD OF GOD

Amen.
