Facing the question, Hou Siqing looked up at his Master with some difficulties. Having a foot and a half of height difference, made short people have difficulties on their neck.
Seeing that his disciple was having a hard time looking at him, Du Zhuhui sat down in order to be eye to eye with his disciple while he was talking.
"Master, the reason for my current state lies in my own negligence whilst cultivating. A week hence, a portal did open within the cave where I did ply my efforts..." Hou Siqing gave a deep sigh before he continued narrating the events that happened to him.
"...Alas, the radiance it emitted did draw forth a monster of surpassing strength, and thus, I find myself in this lamentable state."
Hearing the formal tone of Hou Siqing, Du Zhuhui stood in his place speechless.
Hou Siqing was too formal and too noble. Maybe this was how he was brought up by his parents. After all, Hou Siqing was a half-dwarf and dwarfs are known for their wisdom and ability to make high-quality Blacksmithing Metal work.
Although he could still understand his disciple due the countless years he spent together with him, it was still something that would get him speechless when hearing his words. Deciphering Hou Siqing's words, all of this happened to him last week. After having spent the last year cultivating here, suddenly the portal of the Secret Realm opened, thus attracting a monster that was beyond his strength.
Then, Hou Siqing took out his phone from his pocket. "It is my fortune to be able to request help from this phone that Wen Zhexi gave."
The phone that Hou Siqing showed to Du Zhuhui was a phone that uses Spiritual Qi in order to transfer data, Spiritual Phone. This phone can be used outside of the Network Coverage area as long as there is Spiritual Qi. Though, unlike other phones, it was very small and compact. Rather than being a touch screen, it uses buttons to communicate.
"I see. When we go back to the Sect, I will give you a High Quality Limb Regeneration Pill."
One of the things that the Alcarel Desolate Lands was most advanced for compared to his hometown was its Medicinal Alchemy.
Limb Regeneration Pills were common and widely distributed in these lands. However, there was a problem. It could only be taken as soon as it was out of the furnace. So when people needed it, they would queue up in front of the Pill Store to make it on the spot.
Back when he was still living on the other side of the Alcarel Forbidden Mountains, he heard legends about this miracle pill that could regrow limbs. At that time, he was skeptic about it. But when he witnessed it himself happening in front of him, he felt as though he was slapped in the face.
There had been people who wanted to export it on the other side of the Alcarel Forbidden Mountains, but the restriction on it wouldn't let any people below Celestial Realm to trespass even if there was a Celestial Realm cultivator accompanying them. This is also one of the reasons why Du Zhuihui couldn't just ask any Celestial Realm that visits this Desolate Land to take him.
"I shall follow the order of Master."
In order to temporarily solve Hou Siqing's situation, Du Zhuhui took out a Cloth Bandage from his Spatial Ring. Unlike normal bandages, this has a formation imprinted on it that stopped bleeding.
Du Zhuhui didn't need to heal Hou Siqing's injuries for now, otherwise his limb wouldn't be able to grow if the wound had completely closed.
When he finished bandaging his Disciple, it was time to look for Wen Zhexi.
Taking the Seeking Artifact, he changed the person to be found.
In order to do that, he needed to hold the Seeking Artifact in between his hands and think of the person he wanted to find. However, only people with a specific tattoo that the Seeking Artifact would only find.
After all, without any connection to the people he was looking for, the Seeking Artifact was useless.
As soon as he finished setting up the Seeking Artifact, the direction where it was pointing changed. It was now pointing towards the north.
Following the arrow, the two people slowly made their way to where Wen Zhexi was.
As they walked towards the pointed location, Hou Siqing was having a problem with his left foot. He could only drag it as he used his right foot to bear all the weight and limping in order to move.
Seeing the current situation of his disciple, Du Zhuhui sighed and went to help him.
"You should've asked for help when you needed it. Don't just keep it to yourself."
Hou Siqing felt some embarrassment being helped by his Master, but he didn't let his pride overtake him. After all, if he took too much time walking it would only delay the meet up with his Junior Brother.
"I, thank Master."
However, there was another problem that Du Zhuhui faced. Due to their height difference, Du Zhuhui needed to lean down his body to help his disciple. Without using his Spiritual Qi, it was too taxing on his feeble body. In order to solve this problem, Du Zhuhui could only supply Spiritual Qi to the affected bones and muscles in order to prevent strain.
"Hou Siqing, I think you need to drink more milk."
At the joke of his Master, Hou Siqing could only smile awkwardly and mentally took note of the suggestion of his Master. It seems like his height was a problem.
"Never mind. You need to focus more on losing weight."
At first, Du Zhuhui wanted to just lift Hou Siqing due to his height being quite similar to his youngest disciple, however, due to the big frame of his disciple it made possible for him to focus on the road in front. If he was on his back, Hou Siqing didn't have arms for him for him to circle his arms on his neck, making it unsafe for him.
As they followed the arrow of the Seeking Artifact, they soon arrived in a desert-like place with an oasis in the middle. Looking at the arrow, it seems like Wen Zhexi was there.
Before Du Zhuhui's foot could touch the sand, suddenly a sand dune formed right in front of their eyes. As the sand started to fall, the monster beneath it was now finally shown.
When the Monster was cleared of the sand, Hou Siqing's eyes widened in disbelief as he shouted to his Master.
"Master, RUN!"
