The man was looking through a watch case, trying to pick the one that suited him best. He glanced over at Maddison for a second. 

“Right, we haven’t introduced ourselves to each other, have we? I’m sorry, let’s start from the top,” He said as he fastened the watch to his wrist. 

“My name is Elias, Elias King. And you are Maddison Lane, am I right?” He asked. 

He knew her name! Even her surname! But that wasn’t the more shocking part. The name Elias King definitely sounded familiar to her. Where had she heard of it before? 

No! Maddison could not believe it!

Maddison rushed into the hospital as soon as they arrived. Elias guided her through different hallways, all while holding her hand tightly.

Her heart and mind were a mess as she replayed what Elias told her in her mind. News of her kidnapping had traveled to her father's ears.

He suffered a heart attack and collapsed in his study room. He was rushed to the hospital but the situation didn't look great.

"They tried to call you but couldn't get through," Elias had explained.

That's why they got through to Elias instead. Maddison bit her inner lip. Though she wasn't close to her father, it still worried her.

Maddison was dazed, her cheek was burning. If Elias had not been holding her, she would have crumbled onto the ground.
